the scene has evolved a great deal. i'm not saying it's better or worse... but complicated plans to steal/blackmail/etc are not present in the same way they used to be.

also, groups with a serious attitude should just stop fansubbing... how can it be fun to fansub, when you gotta be paranoid all the time.

over the past few months, Mendoi has give out ftp information to non-members, and even to an entire private channel with over 80 fansubbers from different groups. we also regularly invite non-members into the staff channel just for the heck of it. it's about time politics disappeared from the scene for good ( this is the current trend ).
be tolerant towards others, and establish good relations with other groups, no matter how different their vision on fansubbing, or their method of fansubbing might be.

if you can't even trust an offer from a respectable distro person such as dowxp, you should just quit fansubbing.

We're a new group aiming as providing fansub for Vietnamese people. I guess that would make us unpopular in the world anime scene. Would I be qualify? Our staff are around the world (actually, only 3 countries so far), so a dump FTP would be nice to exchange RAWs and releases. But yeah, we're new, so as least, we will try to have some releases first before emailing you requesting.

PS: If we had access, will we be able to download Raws from other groups? Our Internet connection are just too bad for Winny/Share/Perfect Dark (some crappy 40KB/s - still waiting for the FiOS cable guys to come to our area).

You wouldn't too other groups, that's invasion of privacy right there. And i doubt even with consent that would be let happen.

The idea of this dump is not to exchange the raws between groups. It is to hold the raws that a team member got a hold through other means, and place it there for the rest of the team members to access.

On this dump, all file activities happen within groups, not across.
