Mom, I did it! I did it.

Everything went wrong with the final run (actually, 5 final runs). Support doesn't hit anything, Maya refuse to AACI which resulted in CVL got taiha, and somehow I got directed to L from J. I thought that's it when Myouko got taiha right in the day battle. Then Ayanami and Yukikaze decided to step it up with both Night CI and just brought the boss down.

And in extra to that, they even managed to bring back Kazagumo. All those bottled up frustration got swept away in a single instant with that. Now I can say goodbye to E-7 forever.

Now preparing for Mizuho rescuing. Still don't know if farming E-2 for Unryuu is worth the time or not.

Checking kancolle-db and yeah no report of her dropping there on easy.... Apparently she can drop on E-6M on medium with a very small chance, but will probably go with boss then.

Elite late models have 68 FP, which is CA tier fire power and is pretty much the Abyssal equivalent of Poi/Ayanami. They are perfectly capable of one shotting BBs with a crit during day battle

The best part is, they come in numbers (a fleet of Poi, poi!)

I'm assuming your fleet can maintain AS throughout.

1. If possible, replace two FB Zeroes with a better fighter and a better bomber.
2. Replace BBs' radar with AP shell.
3. Replace Yamashiro's Zuiun with type 0 recon.
4. Equip Isuzu with DA config. Don't equip flagship with searchlight.
5. Equip Fubuki with DA+AACI config. Place her before CAs.
6. Equip Hatsushimo with 3 torps, and place her at last.
7. Send shelling support.

I suspect that a portion of the playerbase complained about the timing of the event (iirc there were Comicket in its timeframe). And the insane difficulty penalized people who were not NEET or not in vacation/sick leave.

I am happy for the people who have yet to beat the event, but on the other hand I'm also kinda sad about that extension since it means that the Crane KaiNi might get postponed too :/

Would be fine if the reset is once per 2 days instead. The daily reset forced me to stay up night to run E-7, and I don't really want to experience the midnight rage like this again.

Is 1-6 a good way of farming resources or do the costs outweigh the gains presented by the map?

You cannot "farm" it as after 6 successful resource gathering, the map doesn't yield anything.
That said, since you can bring 5DD and 1CL / 6DD for this, the map usually give a net gain in term of resources, unless you are unlucky enough to get only ammo/bauxite (last run always yield 1K fuel).
