Not really sure, didn't finish most of the games I got. A game can't be considered as emotional, if the only part I played as hours of grinding. If I have to pick one, I will pick Xenosaga Episode III, since most of the characters die in that game.
As for Final Fantasy VII, Aegis didn't really asked for her death. She did it to avoid her entire team's defeat. Aegis thought it was a better idea to have one person die than the entire team, but her efforts ended up in vain. Cloud and his team had to fight Sephiroth one way or another, making Aegis' death as unnecessary. It was quite a pity. |

Persona 3, where it's the only game I have played where I'm more emotional on replaying it, as knowing what events will happen after only serves to further strengthen the emotional impact of a lot of the game's dialogue.

The Super Robot Wars series, many have shed manly tears for it.
I myself cried twice in a single stage of SRW Alpha 3. When Minmay sang Ai Oboeteimasuka(cried) and immediately 2 turns later Basara awakens from that and the combined hopes of others and sings Try Again with a very touching spoken dialogue. I cried again during the dialogue with Try Again as bgm, barely after I wiped off my tears. The most recent SRWZ, had a tragic female main character that many had shed their tears for her. She had tragic events that just gets worse for the majority of her story. Other than manly tears, SRW also provides excellent comedy that makes one explode with laughter, comedy has always been great in SRPGs, but SRW makes them deep. Other times, epicness will make you cheer, yell and scream along with the characters. Can't wait for TTGL to be in SRW.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the N64 is the one for me. It's incredible how a speechless boy can have such an epic adventure. It's so damn good I can only hope for a game to match it within this generation. There are no words that can express the impact this game had on me, especially in my youth. I'll never forget it.

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2...*sniff* It was so beautiful...especially with DAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!
In all seriousness though the subspace emmisionary on Brawl was kind of emotional, I loved how Link attacked Mario just cos he thought Mario attacked Zelda. Speaking of Zelda, Twilight Princess was very emotional so was Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.

There were plenty of moments in Half Life games that were emotional for me. Sometimes sadness over death other times just the joy of the rush.
Some other moments wether it be relief, excitement or sadness came from games like Final Fantasy X, Metal Gear Solid series, Resident Evil 4, Crash Bandicoot, Guilty Gear, Tekken 5, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Halo 1, Zelda Twilight Princess, and there're plenty more.

There's two.
Mike Tyson's Punch-Out After dodging Super Macho Man's Hyperspin (I believe he has a normal spin-attack, a superspin and a megaspin and the hyperspin). This is one of the most insane moves I've ever seen, I mean I can't even describe how hard it was for me to dodge it. You can only dodge one attack per "dodge button press" since you return from the dodge automatically. You have to have the button pressed at maximum speed of course, but that's the least of the worries. You have to place the START of the dodging at the right time. Yes he starts spinning and when he starts to heaten up you have to just start hitting that dodge button at a random time and if you're lucky, you pass the first attacks. But wait, you can still have placed it too early or too late in that miniscule time limit and your spins don't match and he wtfpwns you with his hyperspin. The timeslot is tiny, tiny and tiny! Not to mention this spin lasts for about 10 seconds and you have to keep the button hammered at maximum possible speed to ensure the dodging. If I remember correctly, he does it once in the whole battle. (Edit: I've only beaten Mike/Mr. Dream with save states too, and he's a major pussy with save states) Battletoads I've only beaten this game with save states, so it wasn't so much of a relief since it felt like cheating with weapons against some old karate nemesis who had beaten you before. -- I've owned both games, and since Punch-Out had a password system it wasn't that crazy of a game. Battletoads was just a little too much for me when I was little. |

Half-Life 2: Episode Two Eli dies. I saw it coming, but Alyx's emotion got to me. Single manly tear. Then 3 sissy tears. Then I tried to kill Eli myself.

I suppose I get emotional in a nostalgic sense when I think about the old games I used to play (and love) like the Mega Man games, Castlevania 3, Zelda and so forth...
for pure excitement and enjoyment, I freakin love Half-Life 2 as far as crying...I dont cry... |

I'm pretty emotionless when it comes to sadness, and even though i would just BARELY count it as sad i would say devil may cry 4, other then that never found any game sad(Though maybe the types of games i play have a role in this...)

It was such a good game, I still play it sometimes during my exams to relieve stress Ah, good old PS X
