Yeah Kobato is right up the alley. Extremely sweet to the point of being like the sugar candies she collects

K-ON might work as well as its strictly all ages

For currently screening anime, Ika Musume (squid girl) fits.

For one that has some fighting but minimally, Magic Knight Rayearth. Anmation is old style though and there those featureless naked transformation scenes ala sailor moon

A reverse harem but clean, La Corda d'Oro

A clean comedy and very funny, Skip Beat

If Skip Beat appeals, then Kaichou wa Maid-sama may also fit, though some girls may object to why the lead is working in a maid cafe. Others may also find the 1 yaoi kiss played for laughs and a young boy crossdresser to be objectionable.

I heard it's kinda... adult (not like +18)
Some points on Utena. The animation style is the old sharp chin style, the series has a bunch of opponents of the week and the ending has the 2 girls together as a couple. If yuri is not a problem, then sure though the animation style may be jarring (is like magic knight rayearth style but the differenceis that the story sucks).

Well, as long as there is no like... rape or anything.. if you had to give a age rating to Revolutionary Girl Utena what would you give it?

You know, if she really enjoyed the Samurai X OAVs then I don't see a reason to limit things to the "girly" shows nor do I think Revolutionary Girl Utena would be all that inappropriate. If she can handle the gore and mutilations then she surely should be able to handle the brief and mild lesbian tones that develop later in the series.

That being said, I'll give support to:
Utena
Skip Beat
Last Exile
Ultra Maniac
Cross Game

I'll toss Nodame Cantabile into the mix, though she might find it boring depending on whether she's open to watching three or four minute-long classical music performances. There's a lot more to Nodame herself than meets the eye at first, and Chiaki is a god.
