I would also like to know what that means. I guess it must have different meanings if you take it out.

"Mi~" is another of the many onomatopoeia for noises a cat would make.

I've decided to take the plunge and watch Higurashi...

Somehow, I believe that this series will be like Narutaru all over again... Start out innocent but then suddenly become dark and sadistic.

Just a simple question: the PS2 port of the game won't have Matsuribayashi-hen arc, but it will have 3 original arcs, this means that the PS2 port will have another ending, or it will have the same ending of the PC game? Or nothing has been mentioned?

1. Very first TIPS from in-game says her birthday is somewhere in July, and main story takes places in June.
2. Game doesn't explicitly say whether they're in junior high school or high school, but a manga adaption actually says it's junior high school.
3. Mion is school senior and who's gonna take entrance exam, and is in same age with Keiichi for couple of monthes before her birthday comes.

Adding up these evidence, we can safely assume that Keiichi is 14, Rena is 13 and Mion/Sion is 14.

Satoko, on the other hand... there are so few hint that it's not enough.
A TIPS in Tatarigoroshi says she was * years old(one digit, not two) at 1981 November.
- That means she should be no older than 11 at 1983 June and if she's 11, she'd probably be in fifth, or sixth grade of elementary school.

Rika... no hint at all, except; She was already in elementary school at 1978; no younger than fifth grade.
- I'd like to think she and Satoko are in same grade, then she'd be either 10, 11 or 12... but I really have no clue.

I've been wondering in the anime that after the ending credits for each episode air, the preview follows and a voice narrates, what I interpret to be, a poem that describes the theme for the next episode before 'she' announces the title for the following episode.

Is that the voice of Rika? or perhaps that of Frederica Bernkastel?

I would assume it's the anime's attempt at Frederica Bernkastel.
The Voice Actor, however, is the same as ______ hint:フルデリカ

do we really have to rule out the possibility for a second season or something similar?

Is there a website that details the differences between the anime and the game, or maybe has a synopsis of what happens in the game?

Like Makenaidesuwayo, except they only have Onikakushi. I really enjoyed reading that.

Is there enough information in the anime to figure out the central culprit of Higurashi, his/her motives, allies, and procedure?

Is it answered on ep. 26?
Because up to 25, nothing heheheh

This is more important than Oyashiro-Sama or the great disaster
