create dvd with cdrw drive

ive seen ads of programs that makes it possible. or says its possible.
wondering if anyone's tried it?

No u can't do it with dvd because its not compatible

It simply isn't possible due of hardware limitations. Laser width and et cetra.

The ads you are probably seeing are claiming they can "Back Up Your DVDs on CDs." They are merely advertising the ability to convert DVDs to either VCDs or SVCDs. Both of which you can do for free. For more information such topics visit the authority at Doom9.org.

You should always go with the "if it's too good to be true..."

As stated above, it's just a gimick on words. Stay away from those pay programs as they are free all over the place.

Think about it, if it was possible, why would the manufactures of the drives no do this and save themsleves money and make more sales? I highly doublt spam and popup advertisers would know more than the hardware manufactures themselves!
