I assume that's "at cost." The pure price of the biological materials necessary to grow a physically 14-year-old girl from scratch. After all, the scientists aren't going to charge themselves anything more. Market price would be higher, since there would be a need to make a profit, plus shipping charges and such.

I barely remember what happened in S1, so I'll take your word for it. But you know what I mean; she didn't actually want to kill those dudes. That seems like more of a comedic scene which shows how hot-tempered Misaka can be.

I just skip all the scenes with the girls(including that last scene, I just turned off the stream then.), Saten and Uiharu are waaaay too nosy, and get on my damn nerves, ffs at least give them some kind of power, otherwise I just skip all of their scenes. I saw the scene with Mikoto and her friends as rather realistic actually.
Mikoto is trying to hide everything and pretend to her friends that she is okay. She is also extravagantly treating them to sugary dishes, and talking in a wistful melancholy tone about the stars. If she wasn't the main character those would all be deadly death flags. Still Mikoto can't keep it together and starts to partially breakdown. Saten realizes that something bad happened, but that Mikoto doesn't want to share it with them. So like a good friend she suggests going to the arcade and distracting Mikoto from her worries, which also changes the subject and allows Mikoto to get out of having to explain her breakdown right then. She also tell Mikoto that whatever is happening if Mikoto can't handle it on her own to remember she has friends. That's like basic realistic depiction of a friendship. I didn't take it as Mikoto suddenly being all happy and better. Just that it gave Mikoto time to regain her composure, and put her happy mask back on. I'm sure Mikoto is still very shook up and depressed. No doubt the future episodes are bound for more darkness. Possibly. However Mikoto might have deflected the coin enough to avoid being hit. It's not outside her ability.

I have two theories about that. If the auto-reflection works like a mirror, then there are many possible angles for the return fire (since Accelerator is not a flat and ever perpendicular surface) The other could be taking wind and friction into consideration. A sniper has to adjust for that, but Accelerator wouldn't care. So with the distance being essentially double, the reflected attack will have double the natural deviation. In either case, I would bet it was more luck what saved Mikoto, not a conscious effort from Accelerator to miss her. What make you think that? |

Against Accelerator she tried to use the iron dust tornado as an actual weapon, with the eye shrinking to nothing the iron dust should have ripped his skin open. Leading to injury and high blood loss at least. Not sure if it would be a lethal weapon- assuming Accelerator got swift medical attention - but it would at minimum disable him. It could also be lethal if intense enough, and Mikoto was not holding back.

Accelerator is only powerful because of his broken ability, without it he really can't do much of anything while Misaka at least is very intelligent, inventive, and athletic in comparison. |
