On the balance of sexy ecchi and plot/character development, I thought Masou Gakuen's author summed it up quite nicely in his final afterwords.

How not to summon a demon lord: perform an ancient ritual on the top of a summoning tower. How to summon a demon lord: go to the top of the same tower and ram your fingers up a fourteen-year-old girl's special place and keep digging until she forgets how to scream. Only in anime folks.

I think he just did. Only problem is that it was a quick death that didn't give him long enough to savor the realization that he's indeed not a god, but a worthless maggot who only served his own ego.
Either way while logically I couldn't buy Rem surviving that many swords in the back, given her plot armor I'm also not buying this story truly killing her off. Either way the demon lord form does look fairly impressive. |

While her actions are inexcusable, I kinda understand Alicia's motives.
She's more than grown disgusted with mankind and their ways, and believes the world might become a better place without them. Now, imagine if she lived in a world like ours, at this current period of time... |

Kurumi Tokisaki tries to wipe out a city full of innocent people just to prove she’s evil and she’s Best Girl of her series.
Alicia tries to wipe out humanity for their corruption and being generally disgusting and everybody hates her. Really?

Kurumi didn’t broadcast that she was a killer either. The author of Isekai Maou just capitalized on a dramatic reveal of Alicia’s true nature more than the author of DAL did.
Was that directed at me or him? Because Kurumi is my all-time favorite anime female character. (and Alicia is my favorite in Isekai Maou)

Mostly at @Metaneo, but also (indirectly) at those that claim to hate Alicia for what she did.
Like I said, she'll have to atone (A LOT) for what she did, but I've also seen worse in other stories, so this one time didn't make me rage that much. I was more eager to see Saddler die a slow, painful and humiliating death rather than hating on Alicia. |

It's got to be weird for Rem to watch the Demon Lord that her family has dedicated their entire lives to containing end up being a sweet, innocent, little girl (albeit one who will rush to killing as a solution if someone she cares about is in danger). Not to mention finding a point to empathize with how Klem must have felt being stuck in their bodies. It was sweet (albeit also distressing) watching the lengths Rem would go to protect Klem and prevent her from losing her innocence and succumbing to her true Demon Lord form.
Alicia's true colors finally show as her "nice girl" facade fades and she presents herself as a manipulator who'll do anything and betray anyone if it means wiping out the Mortal Race, no matter the cost. I think this pretty much revokes her Harem privileges . Although when Rem brought up everything they went through together it seemed like there was a tinge of regret in Alicia's eyes, so it may not have all totally been a lie. Though whether that will make any difference in the end is hard to say . Well, I guess I have to give credit for Alicia's manipulations. She wanted to revive the Demon Lord and wipe out the Mortal Race, so she brought in the worst the Mortal Race has to offer to do it. Him getting vaporized by an actual Demon Lord was both well-deserved and still not as awful as what he really deserved . It figures that Diablo trying to speak in his normal voice would make everyone else think he's someone else since it's so different from how he presents himself. Honestly I think he probably could have asked them for help in his Diablo voice and they would've responded well since they're just used to him being like that at this point . I doubt Rem is going to actually die, even if I'm not sure how she's going to be brought back after getting basically stabbed death. Although I hope however they do it also fixes her ear . I guess we're back to the original plan of Diablo needing to take down Krebskulm, although now there's the added wrinkle that he needs to save Klem as well .

You make it sound like she’s evil at heart. She has a tangible reason for hating people, and she’s much more justified in her actions than a lot of other anime characters who are forgiven, including some haremetts. As I pointed out above, Kurumi Tokisaki, most popular girl of her series, tried to wipe out a city full of innocent people just to prove she’s evil and beyond saving. And lying and manipulation are nothing in comparison to mass murder; I think a lot of people place too much weight on lying and deceiving.
