Plot Summary

Quote:

In a world populated by anthropomorphic animals, herbivores and carnivores coexist with each other. For the adolescences of Cherryton Academy, school life is filled with hope, romance, distrust, and uneasiness.

The main character is Regoshi the wolf, a member of the drama club. Despite his menacing appearance, he has a very gentle heart. Throughout most of his life, he has always been an object of fear and hatred by other animals, and he's been quite accustomed to that lifestyle. But soon, he finds himself becoming more involved with his fellow classmates who have their own share of insecurities and finds his life in school changing slowly.

Manga 'Beastars' is getting a TV anime.

Full CGI?

I mean it did work for Land of the Lustrous, but those characters were all anthropomorphic gems. I don't know if it would work as well with animals. It took me a while to recover from the traumatic Golden Kamuy bear. XP

To be fair, it's not as if that bear represented the best quality ever made in CG.

But I'm also apprehensive, I'll just be able to say something after a trailer, Houseki no Kuni's masterpiece, this can not be denied.

Me too. I suppose if you're going CGI Orange is about as good as you're going to get from a TV anime, though.

Won't surprised if some reviewers wrote it as "Japanese do a Zootopia rip-off".

A more mature Zootopia rip-off with murder, blood and what not. Though the original Zootopia was also a pretty damn grim Version with those shock bands. That coming of age party video for that little ice bear boy was heart-breaking.

Sort of. It is beast teens. And normal teens are already edgy and angsty as heck. Put in some "food chain" stuff about strong carnivores and numerous herbivores and you get a big bunch of troubles.

I seem to have problems with my monitor's lighting considering every time I watch something in dark CGI, I don't understand a thing. Same thing happened to that CGI bear from Golden Kamuy
