Anyway, I see some difference between Ragnorak and Dr Tokioka's method of necro-rise. Well, mainly Brandon seems to be able to think and even recall the past. The Orcman on the other hand are savage unthinking beast only vent on completing orders.

So if Sherri don't get sperioled by Ragnorak, can we expect her to be raised by Tokioka and persuaded to their ranks?

But is there really no possibility that Harry will kill Bear first? IMO, the story should end once Harry is dead and the Syndicate crumbles. I see no place for Sherri to come in then.

So my point is... I believe Sherri knows nothing of what Harry is doing to the Syndicate, so for her to agree to take on the experiment is still questionable. She must either be too madly in love to reason or she's going to die first. The touchy part is Bear, he is probably not going to let Sherri be part of the experiment. His sacrifice to serve Harry and betray his principles would be for nought if Sherri comes to any harm. I am sure he will disagree to let Sherri be part of the experiment.

So maybe my speculation wasn't spot-on, but my guess is that the situation will comes down to:

a) Bear got killed, but Sherri agrees to the experiment for her love.
b) Bear got killed, Sherri died while seeking revenge and became part of the experiment.
c) Bear got killed, Sherri seeks help from Grave and Dr Tokioka.
d) Sherri agrees to experiment, Bear don't mind. (quite unlikely)
e) Sherri died in some weak accident or illness and Harry just took her body. (quite unlikely)

Well maybe its my wishful thinking. Anyway, it might be better to let Grave work alone, he's usually a lone ranger anyway. No wait... its not even confimed that Sherri will be sperioled in the anime.

Those are possibilities. I'm just going by how the game panned out with each memebers of the syndicate and what happened between them and Grave seeing how the anime is so far following the game scenario to a T. The only major fluctuation would be that of sherry, but as stated, she was introduced to coincide with Gungrave OD.

Let me just clear some things up:

Okay, I have a big character chart in front of me here from last month's Young King Hours. It shows that Sherry has joined up with the Corsione family, which is a rival mafia group of Millenion. It says here, in nice bright print, that the group is out to kill Grave. So there's your answer to that. Also, if you can read her profile on the web page, it even says she's betting everything on vengeance. Also, check here: http://red-universe.com/god/godmovie/index.html

That's the opening sequence for Gungrave O.D. In it, you can see a scene of Sherry pointing what looks like a crossbow at Grave. It's only there for about a second, but anyway, I think that's enough evidence. In conclusion, Grave will kill Bear and Harry, and Sherry will want revenge. Most likely, that can be 100% confirmed as "fact".

Possibly. The second game takes place 3 years after Gungrave ends, so the Corsione family might have been, and probably were, small fries when Millenion went under. Of interesting note though, is that Corsione's adopted son (Garimo) was involved with the Necro-rise research when he was 10 years old... I should note that he was a child prodigy.

As for the second question, I haven't seen enough details just yet to know for sure just what the story will totally cover in O.D... Even the story summary on the website is extremely vague...

Side note: It feels really weird jumping back and forth between present and past tenses due to being at two time points in the series at the same time... @_@;;

I feel like I've been spoiling too much...

Not really, a majority of the people played the game and the anime and game created are the same so I doubt he would change it so much from the game seeing as the games story was hot, although very short. The Sherry thing was expected as I read the website info a awile ago and thats why I was trying to state that sherry

I haven't watched ep.18 yet, but I can clearly say that I think they made a wise choice in choosing the way they displayed the episodes. I can't really explain why but all I can say is that their choice made the series have a progression out of the standardized norm. What I mean is that they chose to rather do one big flashback of 16 episodes(2nd to 17th ep.) than rather have flashbacks in each episode which would drag down the pace of the plot and action.

No, that wouldnt work in the continuity and overall length of the anime. If he started there, hed barely gave enough material to make a 13 episode series unless he incorporated a whole nother level of story different from the game, but I would find that unlikely since he wrote the story for the game. Besides in the game, all we see is a flashback of when harry kills him and thats it for backstory. Its nice he fleshed out the backstory of how brandon became grave.

Err, I think you misunderstood my statement. I meant because ep 18 was almost exactly like ep 1 except for a few added scenes and editing, was it necessary to even have an episode 1. Why have ep 1 and then flashback for 17 eps when you could have just started the series with the story beginning in ep 2 and just go in chronological order. Was the story better served by telling it the way they did or not? That was my original point.

The retelling from the beginning took at least 14-15 episodes before we actually see something related to episode 1 (the experiments). IMO, it had served its purpose of letting the audience have something to look forward too. Not that the whole retelling arc is boring, its just then the longer I have to wait, the more I want to see it.

I just watched ep.18 and it was totally useless, just like Go-lytely mentioned they only added some more scenes at the end of episode 1, they also included some flashback memories from Brandon. I think they could've done something else with this episode, like explaining what is this Speriole technique and what changes in necro-rise did the doctor use on Brandon.

Mika learns about Millennion and Brandon's past from Scott, the old informant. The heads of Millennion are holding a big party and Grave crashes it single-handedly. The party is in reality a trap for Harry to lure Grave into the open. Bob demonstrates the power of "Superior" and morphs to battle Grave...

Ep20 - BROTHER

Although they are hiding in the slums, Mika is discovered by a member of Millennion. Grave protects Mika and the two of them escape to the apartment where Maria used to live. It is there that Bunji is waiting...

Ep21 - DUTY

Dr.T takes Grave and Mika to the apartment where Widge and Gary live. At first they are shocked to see Grave but Mika explains to them all that has happened. Grave takes Widge's car to head toward Millennion alone while Mika stays in the apartment. But unknown to Grave, Lee and his assasins are already on their way to Widge's apartment...

Ep22 - REMORSE

Even though he knows it is a trap, Grave must confront Lee to save Mika. He heads to the subway station where he defeats an overwhelming number of Orgemen. Using Mika as a hostage, Lee assaults Grave again and again without resistance, but at that moment Dr.T appears and...

Ep 23 - DAUGHTER

Harry loses one loyal subordinate after another to Grave. The syndicate begins to lose their trust in Harry and plan a rebellion, but he purges all those not loyal to him before they can act. Bear remains ever loyal only because of his daughter who is completely in love with Harry.

BTW, the Raw Ep. 19 was golden. And to think, I was worried how the second half of the series was going to compare to the first. ^_^

My bad, it was early and I wasnt really paying attention. But yeah, episode 1 in episode 18 should have been like 5 minutes at the most, and the grave vs. bob match should have took place in episode 18. As far as the storyline is going compared to the game it seems like the character designs are going to stay just like the game for when they superior-up, but the places and order in which they fight seems to be out of place for bob and bunji. Lee is in the right spot, but no word yet on Bear. It should go if I recall bob, lee, bunji, bear,

yeah your right. I played the game long ago, but I do remeber that bunji was hard as hell to beat. The way the eps are structured after seeing 19 and from what the episode previews say on the website, it seems like hes after bob, then lee, then bear.
