I finally had a chance to watch and catch up to this show. It is surprising very funny and entertaining. I did not read any details beforehand, so everything was a nice surprise. It does remind me a little of Sket Dance, but so far, I'm enjoying it much more. (Although, I have to admit, I'm only in the teen episodes of Sket Dance).

Zenkichi mentioned that there was one position left in the student council, which I would assume would be Vice President. If anything, he is probably the most likely candidate, although I think Shiranui should just join already.

Since this is only a 12 episode series, I wonder how they will end it. It has been mostly introduction and humor so far, and we are already past the halfway point.

Keep in mind that Medaka Box is based out of a 140+ chapter long manga that is still ongoing, and showing no signs of ending soon. It's very, very hard to find an organic spot to actually end One Cour in, because really, the next three arcs after this smoothly flows into one another. And they'll be starting with the first major plot arc next episode- the previous episodes have been nothing more than character introduction, buildup and such.

well, chapter 21 of the manga is a very good place to stop. It hinted at something bigger yet didn't reveal as to what that might be. I don't really think the 2nd arc will be covered in this season. Sure, "he" will make the appearance, but it can still be seen as the first arc as the tone is still the same only if a little bit on the extreme side.

Man, even if there's no second season... I just want to see HIM animated for at least a few seconds. I think Ishida Akira would be a perfect voice for HIM, using his Xellos voice.

Well, personally I seem to keep thinking of Chihiro Suzuki as [That Guy] when I read the manga but I'd love to be surprised (in a good way).

I can't think of anyone other than Yuki Kaji because voicing [That Guy who loves Naked Aprons] make him more famous and less scandalous (*cough* Shu Ouma *cough*), but Hiroshi Kamiya seems to be another perfect candidate for him.

many ppl in this thread have already said that it will be split cour, 12 and 12 but so far no real confirmation on episode count.

Where did people get the idea that he speaks in ALL CAPS? He speaks in bracketed quotes, but the text of his dialog is normal. And really, in translated manga they usually use all-caps fonts for everyone anyway.

You know, I've always wondered why she couldn't just request the uniform to be changed in the suggestion box. I mean, isn't Medaka absolutely devoted to fulfilling these? Why go for trickery in the first place?

Edit: The voice is listed as Paku Romi in the credits, no need to speculate.

So this is the start of a major arc? It's interesting so far, like most of Medaka Box. I found it extremely hypocritical of Unzen to be playing video games while on campus as part of the Disciplinary Committee, and the Chairman to boot.

Another episode passes by, and Zenkichi's harem is growing bigger and bigger.

Sometimes I wonder if Medaka is really that unintelligent, or if her heart just is so big that she allows it to take over everything? Although Medaka was really "nice" to let Onigase borrow her uniform. The dress code check must also be a one time event; otherwise, those students would have never been allowed on campus.
