Don't know what to take of this. But this certainly will be a new territory for Matsuoka.

I've never understood the hate behind Arcana Famiglia, is it because it's due to expectation issues that most people expected mafia action only to be greatly dissapointed later on, given the fact they are anime-only viewers, I'm pretty curious to see it?

The artwork is great, but I don't have any expectations to begin with since I have other animes to watch this summer. Still I'll give the first episode a try and just leave here to see if it gets better story-wise.

My problem with Arcana Famiglia is that I don't understand the direction they took if they were going to animate the "Best ending" (which was totally half-assed because in the novel it was a pretty awesome ending) and the way they dealt with Felicità since she is one of the best otome heroines but turned out to be quite bland in the anime.

About Makai Ouji it's nothing spectacular but I do enjoy reading the story, especially the comedy and the historical figures which appear are a plus for me like Gilles de Rais, who appears in that scan. I do wonder how far they are going to animate because it currently has 40 chapters and there's still too many things that need to be revealed (basically we still haven't got any answer at all about the main plot).

I think it'll be either one cour with "buy the manga" ending, or split cour with an original and not very conclusive ending.

Both songs will be performed by Eguchi Takuya, Terashima Takuma, Kakihara Tetsuya and Matsuoka Yoshitsugu. What's up with this trend of the OP/ED sung by the cast? It's not like it's recent but nowadays they're doing it more.

In shows like this the cast is one of the biggest audience draws, so it's not surprising. Plus it's most likely cheaper, and makes more profit for the project.

Isaac looks cute... it's funny, though, a few years ago this role would've gone to Fukuyama.

You're right the thing that interest me the most is BroCon is the 14-male song.

About Isaac's seiyuu, I don't know how he will voice him. I only remember his performance in Brave 10 where he had to use a semi-feminine voice and apparently he was one of Sanetoshi's rabbits in Penguindrum.

Takagi Motoki also voiced Mamoru in Shinsekai yori (this casting decision was the only one I was less than happy with, though it wasn't his fault), Jonah in Terra he, and, as it turns out, Uruno the loser wolf in Damekko doubutsu (AAWWW). I think he's quite right for this role.

ETA: By which I mean, he'll probably do the typical cute shota voice.

Let's not forget the fact that it's animated by Dogakobo, who also holds another female-oriented work called Natsuyuki Rendezvous last summer and it would be nice for them to produce another one.

It's from a month ago so it doesn't really have any new info, but it's worth it for being one of the more chaotic events I've seen lately...

But I guess we have a small indication of how Terashima and Eguchi will play their characters.

Highlights: Taku bros, Sitri-tan, megane = sign of being the prince of hell, Kakihara has no idea what character he's playing, Eguchi is adorable, Terashima has the ugliest shirt ever, Fukuyama Jun has a horrible haircut and is trying to catch up to modern technology, and everyone fails at Twitter. #makaiouj XDD

If the official twitter acc reaches 10k followers they'll do another event. They're over 9900 now... XD

A new PV, this time with William & Dantalion's voices, and what is probably the OP song. No surprises so far, this is pretty much how I imagined both of them.

Dantalion is so... pink and purple.

I thought his outfit was supposed to be more reddish...

I have to agree that Dantalion's coloring looks a bit weird but except from that everything is as expected (I love Eguchi's "Twining")
