It's an oxymoron because technically French Heavies are just mediums with bigger HP and guns. Just think of it: they have the speed and maneuverability of mediums, and have the same armor (or less, in the case of the AMX 50 100!) of Mediums of their tier.

That was a good session, 10 wins, 2 draws, 1 loss. And one of those draws would have been a win, except that one of our cappers decided to drive out of cover and get shot...

I wish I'd gotten that Province battle in the T-15 with the camo and binos, instead of in the Pz S35, but I did get a Steel Wall and Spartan in the Pz S35... soaking 30 hits and 1343 potential damage on a tank with 260 HP, and finishing the game with 11 HP.

And also... I might hang on to all of the free XP that I've been gathering for that leap at Tier 10 and just wait another few weeks to see if I can pick up the Cold War Leopard... since version updates are coming all the damn time now.

Obtained Type 58. I expected to hate this tank but have been pleasantly surprised by its good handling. The penetration is lacking (using stock gun) but not such a problem if you don't get stuck in a t8 match. Even then I can make it work. I am further strengthened in my belief that in WOT there are no bad tanks, only teams.

Most important rule when driving a E-50 Ausf. M:

For damn sake, do not be too aggressive from the start, since the armor and mobility of the panzer are the most important assets. Engage in long-range sniping missions and then go in for the kill.

The best gun only has 8 extra penetration on average than the stock gun. In fact there is not much difference between the stock tank and fully upgraded version, the biggest difference is the much needed increased accuracy on the gun.
The biggest flaw of the tank is the lack of gun depression, every time you drive and shoot while driving over a small bump your shell ends up somewhere in Earth's orbit.

Same on my Type 58, I keep hoping that we'll get a 50% discount on equipment for the weekend bonuses but it doesn't seem to happen.

The lack of depression is, I think you are right, the worst thing about the tank.
I'm not sure how excited I am to make the remaining 100k xp in this now...

Also, if I'm looking for a nice recreational t7, do you think think the IS-2 would be a good idea? It seems similar to the Russian version, but its HEAT shell penetrates 300mm of armor. I imagine that would be awesome.

Brit heavies aren't that far behind French when it comes to heavy tanks. My Fv215 has the same or less armor as most mediums especially the side with only about 50mm thickness. All it has are the biggest hp pool and a decent quick 120mm.

I only played 28 games the past 8 days but I should be more active again next week.
