Reiji is pretty arrogant isn't he?
Yuuki was being cool and polite yet he calls him a jerk he even says that ''i can't believe i lost in this battle of toys'' he obviously doesn't have much care(or maybe respect too) for game, I expect that to change tho as this progresses and just i'm gonna cry

I've just watched it and I must say, Bandai and Sunrise are generous enough to upload the English-subbed 720P on Youtube.
I liked the episode, which serves to explain how Reiji got into this whole Championship, and also the introduction of the Char. I mean Aizen. Oh damn it Yuuki! The battle was great to watch, despite the Strike being under-equipped. I especially liked that move Reiji pulled involving the hip-mounted beam saber. I just didn't understand how he didn't manage to dodge the Zaku's low kick despite dodging a beam shot earlier. One thing that was off was the time taken for the Sumo to charge it's weapon, almost like Pacific Rim's super slow charging. And I was hoping that Reiji let go and allow the Strike to flow with the air flow, and then fly around the landscape before dealing the killing blow but alas, they went for the straightforward charge. The change in battle landscape was great to watch too. Technically, what would happen if one player was playing as RX-78-2 and the other was on a Freedom. The Freedom would launch itself into space and then what? On a last note, the ED showed Sei cosplaying as Build Strike and Reiji as MK-II. Does that mean Reiji will get his own kit and Sei will fight his own battle? PS: I wonder if Seiji is a physical manifestation of the particle. |

A generous thank you goes out to them. I rather like the direction this is going, what with all the references to classic Gundam series. To me, though, Reiji and Sei have a Graham Aker and Billy Katagiri dynamic to them: one's a brilliant pilot, and the other's a brilliant MS designer :

Looking by her character description, why do I feel she is similar being as Reiji?
Like it said she has the skills to pilot Gunpla but doesn't really have knowledge about Gundams or anything. Reiji pretty much lacks knowledge about the common stuff too, so I wouldn't be surprised if she and he were the same kind of beings. Considering she is in a "team", I would say she is being used or something. I don't know. Also her Qubeley seems to have a Gundam-like face with a visor somewhat. |
