While I do complain when the new ''update'' version comes out soon, it will be different with Guilty Gear. I'm so in loved with the franchise that I can't wait when Extend version with new characters. Hopefully Baiken and Jam. Even though I feel sad that few of my favorites didn't make it, Elphelt and Valentine as a new blood will fill the void nicely.

Now, patiently waiting for my Limited Edition. :3

Just bought the game, and also I ordered Limited Edition on Amazon. It's gonna take a long time to deliver.

Anyway, I love the game. I read here and there, Unreal Engine 3, not 60fps yara yara yara. But it doesn't matter. I love Elphelt. Funny to see a fighter bride. Her fighting style is cute and hilarious. The instant kill in this game is just so ANIME.

^ Elphelt might be the only reason for me to pick this up, but no Dizzy, Baiken or Jam still.
i guess i'll wait for this game to go down in price or if they make an extend version later.

$60 at the moment is a bit much for me...without my fave characters to play with.

waiting for testament too, meanwhile playing Ramlethal.
I can't seem to connect her wallsplat sword combo, especially the delayed dash c.s after setting the sword on.
[sh+] c.s > 2d > dauro > ppp > dash c.s > f.s > 6S > delay dash c.s > sword hit > 6H > dash c.s > sword hit > dash c.s > 2d.

using other variant, but that one looks really cool.

Getting started on this one too! The character roster feels pretty small indeed, but I don't mind for now, got enough characters to work on. A trial arcade run with Chipp was pretty fun, the dude can use SO MANY moves and his specials are devastating (well, except the kunai bombing).

After that, I tried out the MOM mode with Ramlethal. She seemed 100% OP in arcade with dat damage and her tension rising indefinitely, but she's just another character when I'm playing her...her speed and ridiculous 3-hit combos are nice but I really like them swords, the hard counters you can pull at close range are amazing. Awesome specials, I like destroy the most because of its range and cool animation

Too bad it doesn't work on enemies who don't flinch tho.

So, this MOM thing, it's kinda weird...you go around killing enemies four times each (yes, with a single lifebar) and collect medals everytime they're downed. You also get special "skills" and items, like bombs, poison beakers, hammers, etc. and accessories to raise stats - but you can do that by raising whatever stat you like. Items are shared between characters but stats are not...and items have stat requirements :P I can't see an end to the map, however...and going after the boss with the * can result in circling around the same place. Also, what's the bonus from chain victories? Better items?

Wonder why many people aren't mentioning story mode? I'm two hours in and I'm loving it. Loved the fact that they separated it from the main gameplay. Want a story, sit and enjoy and if you want to battle, then do so in VS/arcade/online. I know not many will agree with me on that, but it's a nice change.

And honestly, I would love that future VNs are like this. Not that big sucker for graphics but the crisp movement of characters still blows my mind. They really outdid themselves with the look of the models.

I agree. I have read the articles about how Arc System's graphic team come up with the graphics through enhancing the Unreal Engine. And I was very impressed by their passion and skill they have put into it.
I'd love to see other VNs take the same approach in the future. But knowing the time and energy and skill and man power that's required to pull this out, I don't see it as a possibility in immediate future.

Elphet was a limited free post launch DLC during Xrd's release in the U.S. for about 2 weeks or so. I'm assuming Kyero Fox is talking about that.

We made it, "two anime games in EVO". Let's try for three next year.

I finished M.O.M and man.......that was so not worth it.lol. I was trying to collect the items while at it too. It started off fun. Then about level 7 I it started to weigh on me. Im first instincts are usually good and it told me to stop and but yet my pride kicked in this time. By the time I got to level 10 I felt nothing but regret but I was in too deep at this point and by the time I got to 14, im disgusted/mad. I wanted to strangle someone at AWS.

I ended collecting the rest of the items a few days after after some of my rage subsided.
