Sean Connery is what I vote
I think the old James Bond stories are awesome, the time, the cars, the guns and glamor everything about it
Sean sounds like a ladies man, he sounds very charming and it just melts your right away
He fits perfectly int he scenario and he acts it so well

I have to admit that so far I've enjoyed Daniel Craig's antihero take on Bond. He does an incredibly good job of making Bond cold and ruthless when he needs to be, while at the same time giving him a human side that makes you ache for him. Sean Connery will always be the original James Bond in my mind, but I think Craig's done an awesome job with the role and made it his own.

I could've sworn Narona was gonna do this. Guess you got to it before her

I'd have to say Timothy Dalton on the grounds that his was the most accurate interpretation of Ian Fleming's vision of James Bond, especially in "The Living Daylights." I was really sad to see him go and be replaced by Brosnan. He was also good in Goldeneye, but he became a total douche after that one. Sean is my second favorite, and I especially liked him in "You Only Live Twice." The Bond I hated most was Roger Moore tho. He was too much of a playboy, almost a gigolo, and the girls in all his movies were way too easy. The only movie I liked him in was "The Man with the Golden Gun" and that was only because Christopher Lee was in it, who I have great respect for.

The first James Bond movie I saw was one with Roger Moore in the lead, and for a while, he was the "official" James Bond in my head.

Not really a fan per se, so I have trouble picking one as the best from that list.

I'm also going to back Timothy Dalton. He was the original "suffering Bond", that drove home Fleming's gritty realism, and added much needed character depth to the growing cliche that was Bond. He may have only done 2 films, but The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill were the best Bond films since Connery in You Only Live Twice.

Someone just activated RAGE mode without taking any damage. Impressive. Most Impressive.

I almost agree with Sean Connery. His acting was most definitely the best out of all the Bonds, and even now, at his age, he'd give them all a run for their money. He's also one of my favorite actors of all time. My only gripe against him is that he liked women more than Ian Fleming's original vision, but he looks like an amateur player compared to Moore.

There is only one and he goes by Connery ........... Sean Connery .

He epitomizes Bond for me his larger than life persona is reflected on on-screen and well suites the roll of Bond . The closest any one would ever come to Connery would be Robbie Williams . Incidentally he was offered the role ... but rest is history . The next would be Craig he has done a wonderful job .. former Craig hater : ( . Best accurate depiction would be Dalton/Craig

If I would rank Bonds on Charisma Guts and Grits . Its very personal and subjective so agree to disagree .

* My Favorite Bonds

- Connery
- Craig
- Brosnan
- Moore
- Dalton

* Fave Bond Movies

- You Only Live Twice
- Golden Eye
- Casino Royale
- Never Say Never Again
- GoldFinger

* Fave Opening Track

- Let and Let Die
- Golden Eye
- Die Another Day
- Gold Finger
- You only Live twice

* Fave Bond Car : Aston Martin Db5

* Fave Car Sequence : Golden Eye (Ferrari vs Aston)

* Fave Intial Sequence : Golden Eye

RAGE mode

When I think about james bond, I see Sean Connery XD He's also one of my favorite actors of all time

That said, I don't think that Pierce Brosnan was that bad in this role. He's kind of classy, british xD

Your missing one here . Never Say Never Again it was a non-EON Productions remake of the Thunderball and stars Sean Connery . Connery's 7th and final Bond Appearance

As much as I like Connery, that was one of his worst Bond movies. Kim Basinger almost saved it tho.

Yes (and that Sean, on his side, claims to be a Scot ), but I meant that he has a classy style like some Englishmen, and so, that it fits well James Bond.

Yep, Sean is indeed a scotsman, and a great one at that. Brosnan does have that classy englishman theme around him, but he didn't give the Bond impression iibh. That's why I prefer Dalton. Craig also gave that impression but it was overdone with "Quantom of Solace"

Connery did Diamonds are Forever, It's one of the worst.

Stuff I said in the dating thread on Bond

First off, Moore is the worse. Craig has the best body, Brosnan had the best natural charm but got stuck with terrible scripts, and Connery is Bond. Dalton was pretty damn good also, but got royally screwed over with the lawsuit for licensing. Laznerby was just an ugly fool!

I'm completely partial to Brosnan who I thought was the most attractive bond also. DAD made me cry though with that beer belly. He was either out of shape, who was just unlucky to age quicky. Dalton and Connery were pretty attractive too. Moore and Craig...Not so much. But Craig has the best body by far. But he had that right amount of charm too him that felt right. Too bad he also got stuck with terrible scripts.
Connery had all the best movies too, Dr No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, and You only live twice.

And nothing wrong with him being a womanizer. If you're that damn good, it's best to spread out the love anyways. I'd wouldn't mind being on the receiving end

Respect for bond is normally tied to how good the movies are also. Not the quality of the player. For instance, Brosnan has been pretty impressive outside of non bond rolls: Sepharm Fall, Matador(One of the best movies of 2005), Thomas Crown Affair and Tailor of Panama. With the last one being that he played a character similar to bond and it was quite good. Far better than his last 3 bond films. I still think Sean Bean stole Goldeneye since...well....It's ****ing Bean!

Dalton and Moore never had too much of a career outside of Bond. Both seem to love it though. Moore still attaches himself onto Bond while Dalton loves the fact he didn't become like Brosnan,Moore, and Connery where is image is now forever Bond.

And finally we get to Craig who seems to have the opposite problem. Since he took up Bond, He's been in some of the worst movies as of late. Prior to Bond: Munich, Road to Perdition, and Layer Cake. After....Invasion, Golden Compass, and some other crap.
And for fun, going forth.

Best movies in order.
From Russia with Love
Goldeneye(Sean Bean!!!)
Casino Royale
Dr No
Tomorrow Never Dies(Yes...this one is more opinion but I adore Brosnan too much)

Ones I consider good
Dr No
From Russia with Love
Goldfinger
Thunderball
You Only Live Twice
Live and Let Die
For Your Eyes Only
Living Daylights
GoldenEye
Tomorrow Never Dies
Casinoa Royale

Bad ones
Diamonds are Forever
Man with the Goldengun
Moonraker
A View To Kill
Octopussy
The World is not enough(Probably the one with the most potential but failed so hard)
License to Kill(I still quite enjoy it...but the Bond girls were just unbearable)
Die Another Day
Quantum of Solace

If It's not mention, I have no opinion!

Also, If you want the most true to the books. Without question it's Dalton.

Moore changing Cigs to Cigars was just stupid...They looked quite stupid.
