The Ψ part of the title is wrong, the original Japanese source of this was careless with the blog post.
The proper title is simply Digimon Adventure: It's not clear if : is meant to be read as something or just being silent. http://ryokutya2089.com/archives/27879 |

I love Digimon and I want more Digimon series, but can we please move away from Tai and Agumon?
Even if they don't want to make a whole new series, 02 established that there digidestined all over the world, let's follow some of them fore a change. |

Everyone has new outfits except Joe (lol).
Patamon and Tailmon nowhere to be seen. Anyway, from what I'm hearing this is a "real world"-focused Digimon show like Tamers, Savers and Young Hunters. Also, definitely a reboot. Apparently Taichi will meet Agumon while on a trip to Shibuya. |

For Tamer, a remake with tighter story (cut out filler content during the first half of original) and better animation would be better option. Also, making Juri a part of main team for better impact in "THAT scene" and later half of story.

Nah, that would be too mess. I would make an arc with Jian Liang and his father after the event.

Everyone out here talking bout wanting a Tamers reboot/sequel and I'm just sitting here hoping that they do the shipping justice in this Adventure reboot. It's been almost 20 years and I'm still a little bitter over their choice to go with Sorato instead of Taiora...
Btw, I'm not one of the unreasonable Taiora shippers that trashes the Sorato ship every chance I get. My major complaint with their Sorato choice is the fact that anyone could've seen that the writers were actively working towards a Taiora pairing for most of the series, but for whatever reason decided to switch gears and ship her with Yamato instead. It felt like an afterthought and this left us in a awkward situation where she had much better chemistry with Tai, but all of that chemistry was ignored in favour of going with what seems like a shock pairing imo. I'd like to get a Taiora pairing in this reboot if possible, but if they decide to stick with the original ships they established 19 years ago, that's also fine. However, the least they can do is properly build towards these ships so fans would have an easier time accepting them this time round (after we're finished ranting and complaining about why X ship was better than Y ship that is).

They're rebooting Digimon? Seriously? After how awful Tri was, I have no optimism for anything related to the original Adventure (especially with how angsty the other upcoming Adventure project is looking). Well, no idea if its a reboot but sure looks like one (original main eight in the original art style).
Maybe I could see them doing something like Dragon Ball Kai, update the animation on the original series a bit, but they've already gone overboard on the nostalgia with Tri. I'd love more Tamers too but I'd rather they leave it alone rather than add a subpar story to that part of the franchise. |
