I wonder how Chopper will change because since he is an animal he has a shorter lifespan since deer's lifespan usually is between 5-12 years, he may not be the fluffy mascot we know and love. I'm guessing we might get a 30 or so page chapter for 598 showing glimpses of all of their training, then 599 might be showing the state of the world after 2 years and 600 can be the group returning with each other. Some of the Supernova might become the new Shichibukai, I can see Capone becoming the new Crocodile; the world is going to be F'ed up under Akainu leading the Marines and Blackbeard's mess as well as Whitebeard not being there to impose order, hoping the other pirates become much stronger too to rival the Strawhats so it won't be easy sailing for them. Question: Is that 9 sword style thing Zoro did a special type of manifestation of haki? Or just some next weird techinque?

Ehhh, the training is not going to take exactly 2 Years, the SH crew are going to get together in 2 Years, so if Luffy trainings end up before this 2 years, then, Yeah, is possible, not to mention I was merely joking around, as Boa and Luffy “relationship” looks a bit like another one when it was begining.

Luffy and Boa would never get together that way until he becomes the pirate king so don't expect .boa to run away with him and abandon her ppl to the mercy of the WG and beside 2years away from luffy Boa could manage her love sickness hahahaha

I was also a bit surprised by the length of the time-skip, but after thinking about it a bit, I'm fine with it. It will be very exciting to discover what kind of changes the OP world will have undergone during those past two years. I can't wait to see which positions the Supernovae, Buggy, Crocodile, Smoker, Moria, etc... will hold when we see them again. I fully expect Blackbeard to be a Yonkou by then, I wonder just how much bigger his crew will be.
And of course, I'm already dying to see what the Strawhats will look like. I also fully expect Nami to have improved in the breasts departement. Quote:

That being said, I can't really see Mihawk as Zoro's ultimate goal anymore. The accomplishment of defeating Mihawk would feel lacking when he succeeded (partly) thanks to Mihawk's tutelage. Though a student-tutor bound between Zoro and Mihawk wouldn't be so bad if it led to something else. I can see Shiliew defeating Mihawk in a mano-mano, and Zoro (the student) surpassing Mihawk (the master) by avenging his fallen mentor instead. Last edited by John D.; 2010-08-25 at 10:51. |

Didn't mean to copy you like this marvelB, but it's necessary for me to point out the good points and the bad points in this chapter.
-Chapter title is 3D2Y. The splash page features the mighty duo of Gold Roger and Whitebeard. < "WHOA!" -Zoro begs for Mihawk to train him. Mihawk finds his request to be downright retarded, < "I'll say" as he hasn't at least defeated the humandrills yet. However, Zoro tells him that he DID defeat the baboons, which surprises the hawk-eyed one. He then asks Zoro why he should learn the sword from a future enemy, and Zoro simply answers that it's so he can surpass him. Mihawk is amused by his foolishness, < "Oh brother" and says that he must have found something more important than his ambition to make him swallow his pride. He then tells Perona to tend to his wounds so they can train once he heals..... -Zoro explains the meaning of Luffy's message to Perona. It turns out that the ringing of the bells was a diversion to distract the world from the true message, < "Glad he truly understands this" which is the "3D2Y" tattoo on Luffy's arm. < "Interesting" The crew's original plan to meet up at Sabaody has been changed to meet up at the island again...... in two years. In the words of Primacron- < "I do not like this" Until that time, the crew must get stronger so they can survive in the New World..... -Meanwhile, at the Calm Belt, Jinbei departs from Luffy's group, < "That's sad" saying that the two of them will meet up at Merman Island in 2 years. < "Don't remind me" Luffy and co. then go to an island north of Amazon Lily, Rusukaina. < "I was right about being taken to a different island" Rayleigh explains that it's a harsh island that changes weather every week. < "That should provide a challenge" Hancock offers to bring Luffy food every day, but Ray tells her to stay put at AL while the two of them train. < "(wheezing laugh) Take that you lovesick hag" After the Kuja leave, Ray explains that the island used to be a nation that was wiped out by the rough environment, and that it's inhabited by at least 500 types of powerful beasts that are far beyond Luffy's current level. < "What an ordeal" In order to cope with such a rough environment, Luffy must learn to take control of the power known as.... Haki!< WHOA! -Ray explains that Haki is a power that is dormant in all human beings, as it is basically a person's willpower. However, most people are oblivious to such a force. He then says that there are three types of Haki, which he demonstrates on an elephant that attacks him: First, is the "Kenbunshoku" (color of observation)* Haki, which is used to sense an opponent's presence and predict their actions. In Skypiea, this power is known as Mantra. Second is "Busoushoku" (color of armor)** Haki, which can be used to attack opponents. It's particularly useful against DF users (even Logias), and can be infused into weapons, as seen with the Kuja amazons' arrows. Finally, there's the type of Haki we're most familiar with, Haoushoku (king/tyrant's color)*** Haki, which is used as a form of intimidation. This type of Haki cannot be properly trained, as this power is merely the user's will, and will grow in strength alongside him. However, he warns Luffy to not use this power recklessly, as it can effect innocent bystanders, as well. Rayleigh then says that although 2 years is not enough time, he'll do all he can to teach Luffy the basics of these 3 types of Haki, though he reccomends that he focus on the type that's best suited to him. Luffy then puts aside his straw hat, deciding to put his pirate title on hold for a while. He then prepares to train with the Hell King...... Here's my prediction on the mentioned "colors" of Haki: *Kenbunshoku- Blue **Busoushoku- Green ***Haoushoku- Red Quote:

He's going to train on the Island until he gets a grasp of Haki, at least one of the forms of Haki. I'm sure he'll be off the island within a year to get training somewhere else. The island is full of hostile animals. This is where he'll learn to read his opponents, I suspect. He may have to go somewhere else in order to get the armor haki since I don't see how he'll learn to hit the intangible on an island full of wild beasts. Who knows? There could be hostile ghosts, mythical creatures, or elementals on this island. He could then go to the third site to learn about his haoushoku haki. |

Of course some of them can fail to develop Haki, they'll just remain weak. But you can already see that all of them are developing a strong will to become stronger, this already adds to their inherent Haki.

Luffy/Zoro/Sanji have to have it, I don't see otherwise
on the other hand - only Luffy has a trainer .. but most likely the Okamas know about it too and can teach Sanji .. as for Zoro - if Mihawk knows it (which he hasn't shown yet) that might do the trick .. BUT for them 2 swordsmen utilising that breath of all things shtick may be better - Zoro already knows some of it and appearantly it might be superior to 'armor Haki' (but also much harder to master perhaps or only useful with swords), because, possibly, in addition to being able to damage anything like armor-haki (like, say, Logias) it also actually increases the damage output itself - Zoro wasn't physically capable of slicing through metal back then, but with this , he could .. might be the only way to cut diamond then again, haki also enhances the damage (cuja exploding arrows), so basically it's the same thing .. hmm, could that ability be 'just' Busoushoku-haki ? it felt to me like it was being described as something different |
