Quite right - it's pretty much a given that there are always idiots in those types of communities and I'd hope most people would already know it. The best we can do is just ignore it.

And... if WanderingKnight was scared by the video, there's no way I'm watching it.

Meh, I guess it comes off as whining...

I wish for it to be more of a PSA or... WSA (Web service announcement) in a kind of, "Hey kids, see this guy? Don't act like him!" like an afterschool special sort of thing...

Trust me, I have no desire to complain about him, simply happened upon this and thought I'd share a strange case of what level intelligence on the internet has dropped to.

But yeah, I always leave the comment, "Don't hesitate to delete if not necessary." for a reason. It's always iffy for me if people will understand my points or not.

This thread however, I just wish for people to comment on what they believe is wrong with this kid.

And yes, I have a strong hate for most children so to speak... If you've ever seen the episode of Tom Goes to the Mayor entitled "WW Lazers", the kid in that episode is a prime example of the kind of kids I present a strong disliking of. XD

I think this thread should be deleted, if only to prevent the fool from getting any satisfaction from people viewing his videos. Worse case scenario he develops some sort of humorous internet notoriety, like the fat light saber guy.

I'm going to assume that's a screamer video. I was fooled by one once, and frankly I wasn't sure what my emotions where when it happened. On one hand, I was scared to death. I hammered on my keyboard to turn the volume off freaking out like a little kid. On the other, I was so freaking pissed, not just at the bastard that made the video, but at myself for not catching the obvious clue - I had to crank the volume to hear anything.

I have no idea what drives people to do these things. Some might think it is a harmless prank but it also makes me lose even more faith in my fellow man every day. Stupidity and ignorance are rampant but in saying so I doom myself to pretending I'm above any such person. Sadly the anonymous nature of the internet is what breeds this kind of creature, and the lack of consequences for such actions encourages them to continue.

Unfortunately it is also true that it isn't just younger people doing this. Older people also get some kind of morbid kick out of acting stupid, but then I guess it's true that people don't always grow up on the inside.

Things like this remind me of the movie Idiocracy, which is obviously satirical, but also a strong commentary on how society has been evolving into an era where being intellectual is being downplayed more and more.
