Finally got it from my friend. I'm a bit confused on how to install this game...should I download both dota 2 and dota 2 test or only one of them?

Dota2 is the game with the official patch; as far as I know Dota 2 test is where they test changes before making them official. If you played WoW or SC2 think of it as the PTR server.

been a while since i posted here

well anyways here goes

hello reddit
my handle is Inori a.k.a. Clairvoyance (apostleofgod here), I am a casual gamer who has played DotA and its multitude of variations / versions since 2003. I have met little success attempting to go pro in DotA 1, mostly due to impatience and lack of discipline leading to missed opportunities. However, After DotA 1 and Starcraft 2, I would no longer like to make the same mistakes I did before, and am looking to grow with this game, as there is nothing else that I really desire more.
During the week when I have work I stream in the evenings roughly around 9am-2am, but there is no strict schedule. I would describe myself as entertaining, and I will do a healthy mix of everything, including casting and commentaries on scrims involving professional players that i may be associated with, to playing high level pub games (matchmaking with high ELO). Most of the games I play with my crew are top featured, and I always try my best to deliver both quality and fun games.
I hope you tune in sometime, and i will do my best to not let you regret it =)
thanks for your perusal
Inori

copy n paste

also i am a nergin that plays anime music sometimes so check my stream out anytime guys !!!!

DoTa2 is now a free to play game, still in late beta though. The game can be bought for early access. I have been playing since september and it is a extremely hard game to get good at, but very fun and rewarding.

I've recently drowned myself in Purge gameplays and casts, picked up wuite a bit of his lingo along the way.

On another note school is starting up soon so I'll be able to stretch my DOTA limbs once again in preparation for whenever the hell DOTA 2 will be out.

I certainly won't play it in my own home, my computer lags just with DOTA even by myself.

I would say it will be out before September. Early August I think. It's so nice to know we don't need to pay for champions or do anything like LoL/HoN do.

Dota 2 test is there for people like me to make models/weapons for the workshop community to grow. It's basically a playing field for you to see how your 3d models/textures render in the actual game. It is therefore aptly named 'test'

Hey guys,

Wasn't sure where to post this, but here goes nothing.

I'm a bit of a casual 3d modeller, so I've actually made an item for pudge. I'd appreciate if anyone could leave some comments/feedback and maybe rate (Hopefully positively) to get me some more exposure.

Linky to my lil' workshop

Thanks guys

Thanks! I am actually in the process of modelling a bird skull as a helmet.

edit: The only issue I'm having is with Pudge's annoying Tintin hairstyle.

Valve has said that users will keep their items and achievements. I am 90% sure that you will keep your battle level as well.

I only play with one hero and one hero alone: Terrorblade. I am a beast with him, I consider him the most pro active hero in the whole game. I mean it; I almost never play -AR games in the 6 years I have been playing dota. It is all AP games with me XD. I am so obsessed with that hero that I even made a guide on how to play him 5 years ago on the dota forums, which is why it makes me sad that valve hasn't released their version of TB yet. =(
