Shoboi Calendar shows 5.5 next week, but still ends up with ep12 on December 31 (at the normal time of 25:00h, which means 1am the next day). But the official site says that the broadcast time of the "final episode" will not be announced until during the broadcast of ep11. Ep 5.5 will become an extra on the third BD/DVD (except for the rental DVD).

Posts on 2-channel suggest they might have had 3DCG problems. Another post on 2channel suggests that Director Mizushima should do the dance the girls had to do after their defeat.

On 2channel, this show continues to grow in popularity. It is now (46,000+ posts) far outdistancing JoJo (35,000+) and approaching Chuunibyou (49,000+). But Chuunibyou should extend its lead after it is broadcast tomorrow.

The next closest shows (Busou Shinki and Shin Sekai yori) are both around 25,000 posts. Magi has by far the highest TV ratings, having entered the top ten. It sits around 19,000 posts on 2channel, about the same as Psycho-Pass and just behind Little Busters.

good question, either they or is sharing this role there is not really a "captain" in their group

I've always been under the impression that its a role shared by two individuals, even though Erwin is the supposedly the commander.

Watched episode 5.
Not putting in spoiler anymore since a lot of people in the thread seem to have watched it already.

Episode starts with eating delicious looking tank shaped cakes.

Unfortunately, the mood turns bad right away when Maho and her teammate arrives. I'm surprised Miho is actually second in command before she left her sister's team - this is probably the reason why student council wants to recruit Miho to help their school. Maho seems to be not a bad person, she's just bitter about something.. but her companion looks like a really arrogant person. Too bad, the british team wasn't eating at that place too, they would probably helped the Oorai girls talk back to Maho's teammate.

On to the american team (Saunders). Leader of Saunders looks like a totally nice person, and a generous one too.

Anyway, the match is just as exciting as the last episode. America is strong because it's rich? They can afford that ballooon (I would assume it's expensive). Good thing Miho noticed the balloon before the situation became too bad for Oorai. Saori's ability to text fast actually came in handy (I remember her saying at at a previous episode that she can text fast

). And lastly, it's nice that the first years kept to their promise to try harder this time.

Can't wait for the next episode!

^ Funny because I really don't recall Erwin (or the Hippo crew) speaking too often or too much.

THEY ARE DUMB... as painfully illustrated in episode 4. And I agree Momo is probably dumbest & loudest of them all

You know, after watching episode 5, I am beginning to believe the challenges for Oorai in their match against Pravda would be a very daunting one.

Apparently, numbers are non-issue in certain circumstances. If Saunders is to showcase American industrial might, I wonder if Pravda will be showcasing Soviet dedication to operation success.
