I don't think it's the fault of the series that people are assuming they'll fail and find comfort in only each other |

That's not the problem. The problem is that the staff added original anime material to make this "they'll fail and find comfort in only each other" idea more plausible than it should be considering the premise of the show.

Yeah, definitely my favorite of the series at the very least. Though keep getting flashbacks to Fairy Tail and expect someone to yell out "Four!" after she is called Wild .
Is a pretty fun series so far. Maki's extreme actions are pretty fun to watch as is the response it gets from Riko.

Was waiting to watch epi. 2 before commenting on this series, and it's great to say the first episode definitely wasn't a fluke. It's been a long time since I've laughed so hard and thoroughly enjoyed, throughout the entirety of an episode, an anime comedy quite like this.
Though it's a bit worrying to read some of the comments on the source material, the general vibe that I'm getting from the series so far doesn't feel like it's heading in that direction. Maybe it'll be something like the Koihime Musou anime where male presence will be greatly reduced if not altogether absent. Well in any event, even if the show starts following more along the lines of canon, I'll still stick with it to the very end. Since I'm confident the anime studio will still manage to deliver the goods based on their handling and execution of the series so far. |

Third this. The way that she changes her hairstyle, the ribbons to tie her hair and the accessory on her left wrist every day, just seems like a very girlish thing to do in contrast to her boy-ish manner of speech. This all adds up to her having the best "gap-moe" of the bunch because it is subtle without being in the face and overall just feels more realistic than the other girls compared with the others which are more stereotypical.

Normally I would not follow this (kind of) series for reasons, but after some dwelling into the source material (up to the 7th volume, mind), looks like I found a reason to watch instead.
I find character interactions (of various characters) in the manga interesting (might be to the chagrin of... some), so seeing this animated would do lots of tricks for me. Mainly Riko and Maki with other characters. Needless to say, I'm sticking close by for now.

The very very slight yuri subtext that was there what..once or twice? Its a little weird they put it there but I don't see it as being nearly enough to consider lying or such.
In any case, my favorite show of the season so far, I laugh out loud multiple times an ep |
