Well, since they have the space down there already, they can very well put it in use... it's not like both are likely to stuff anything else in there anytime soon

By the way, I was skimming through the novels, and realized that they have covered volume 3 in 3 episodes

The novels are not exactly dense with text, but I can not help but wonder if they even have enough material for 12 episodes with only 8 volumes out

Well, fillers in this series isn't too hard to do I reckon. Just do some monster of the week to fill up the schedule.

Huh!? This series has already a MOTW schedule:

1) Nighthaunts
2) Nodens
3) Nyarlo
4) ???

So for a filler episode we might have:

1) Travel to the beach
2) Travel to the onsen
3) Crossover with (fill the blank)
4) Battle Royale. Reapparence of all prior defeated monsters to battle Nyaruko at the same time, after she has had a power up (which in this case would have been having some hot ecchi with Mahiro).

6) Maid X Butler episode
7) Sport festival episode (I've seen that in Index and Overrun)

Once this series is done. Someone log all the other anime references brought into this series... like Nyarko herself saying "Ni-Ni".
