Very good first episode. It picked up right from where it left off. Lot's of action right and left. Yeah, I agree with Misao-fan that the episode will be overwhelming without a sub due to the amount of information dumped in it.

amazing animation for episode 1, and dat classy goofy yet serious op

kinda curious with Horizon outfit near the end of the opening

one fight after another, they didn't even get time to rest and goof around

(well except Tori of course

)

that Sex talk is ingenious!!! I was forced to laugh while scratching my head realizing how silly yet entertaining it was

I wonder why Malga was crying near the end of the first episode but that can wait till I sub's out

For the Malga crying, I assumed it was because she tried to help but she ended up just needing to be saved in the end. It must be tough for her since her magic suit / weapon system thing got broken in the God of War fight in S1.

Episode was all around amazing though, I liked the OP a lot more with the visuals to go along with it.

Okay, lemme drop these info and thoughts for the meantime.

• The two curved-sword-like weapons owned by Diego Velasquez and Takakane Hironaka are part of the fourteen weapons that are patterned from the Seven Virtues — the Testamenta Arma. The weapons they hold are the Crus Temperantia Vetus and Novum. ("Vetus" and "Novum" means "old generation" and "new generation" respectively.)

I dunno if both hold the same effect, but Diego Velasquez's Weapon (Novum) has a similar nullifying ability as Innocentius' Stithos Porneia.

• I have yet to find out the ability of the Michiyukibyakko.

• Gin's weapons are called "Cross-Shaped Twin Swords" and the Arcabuz Cruz.

• I was actually impressed at the Hyper Drive Lype Katathlipse's damage output. It simply went through the combined abilities of the Crura Temperantiae, and if not for Michiyukibyakko, Gin would have been sliced by the Lype Katathlipse.

• William Cecil's (the big fat lady) ability is the "Distribution" Technique. It causes everyone within her sight range to experience immense gravitational force. On the other hand, Robert Dudley's (the frail lady) ability is the "Replusion" Technique; with the use of a wooden tennis racket, Robert returns incoming enemy fire like a tennis player returning a competitor's shot. The "Repulsion" Technique can also divert the movement of objects from a distance.

• Robert Dudley is also a wielder of a Testamenta Arma, and hers is the Brachium Justitia Novum, which comes in the form of a claw-like glove on Robert's left hand. It allows her to control nearby objects like a puppeteer.

• Neshinbara's primary ability is Multilayered Words [Ikue Kotoba], which everybody knows is able to transform a written story into reality.

• On the other hand, Thomas Shakespeare's ability is Lord Chamberlain's Men, which allows Shakespeare to use her works as abilities.

You shouldn't be. Remember Tadakatsu back in episode 5 of season 1 was looking at her as a strong opponent.

No it's like she's stronger than her husband...

Yeah she regularly trains with him and all but fighting against Futayo there was a serious battle.

I actually pity her for being so gungho, rushing Futayo like that and eating a Lype Katathlipse beam and ending up severely damaged in the process. The short fight between the two has already showed that Futayo against Gin would be more likely to be a stalemate at best.
