So, do the LNs actually cover what the Anime didn't cover at all regarding side-stories or major plot stories that have occurred in the past two years? I know the Anime has left out certain details in the stories we've seen so far, I'm asking if the Anime has left out certain side stories or main plot stories.

I just feel like I need to know what happened in every month and that maybe the LN covers a couple of things every month in the past two years.
The anime has covered most of the L/N material, save for a side story or two (the only one that comes to mind happened near the beginning of SAO).

Well, actually, the 2 year time skip occurs near the very beginning of the SAO L/Ns. So no, there's no month by month coverage; that'd take years to write. However, the author is currently writing Sword Art Online: Progressive, which is basically a re-write of this, and it's main purpose to fix plot holes and inconsistencies, and maybe make the overall story more fluidic.

The LN has a two year time jump immediately after they get trapped. It basically skips directly from episode 1 to episode 8. All the stuff that happens in those two years is side story and not main story. The anime adapted almost all of the stories that have been told about it. So you're not missing anything.

Why people write SOA instead of SAO or there is a meaning for this?

Its the same.. Just fast typing...

You type with you two hands... one after the other... S is on your left and O on your right... due to fast typing we tend to forget unconsciously press with the left twice (for S and A)

For some time, I thought there was. I mean, A and O are quite far away from each other on the keyboard. Sure, once or twice is forgivable, but after somebody writes SOA instead of SAO for the 10th time in a row, one really begins to wonder if that's all there is to it..

Teh spellign of worsd is oftne reversed when people type too fats. The issue here would be that SOA doesn't look abviously wrong so people are less likely to correct it.

Since this is the Q&A thread: SOA = Service Oriented Architecture. Also the name of an operation boss in SWTOR

So in the 2 years that they are caged in SAO, do you think their appearance/features [height, face, weight] changed over the course of those years? I mean, they were only given a single mirror at the beginning of the game.

If they did, I imagine it wouldn't be a whole lot given their biological situation...

Ingame it didn't change. The first time they used the nerve gear it copied there real appearance.

Currently in real life they look older than in the game.
