Can't help but wonder why someone would actually give a rating of 1/10 for this episode =.=

Probably has to do with the fact that he is part of the Flag faction and this is an Onigiri episode.

With Eri's comments concerning Harima's gift from Yakumo, I can see that she has a much deeper understanding of Harima than most of girls in SR. She does pay A LOT of attention concerning Harima.

Regardless, that was very sweet of Yakumo to be the ONLY one considerate enough to remember and give Harima a gift. One day, if I ever have the chance to produce an original anime series, Yakumo will make an appearance with a much better result.

I guess Harima has finally begun to let go of Tenma. I guess that will pave the way for him to see potential in other girls, and yeah, it would be just too weird for him to crazily want to go out with one sister and then switch over to another sister. Therefore, although not my favorite choice, the relationship will probably revolve around Eri soon.

Harima laying on his back during the manga session was just priceless, and Yakuma afterwards was so hot. Definitely one of the better episodes this season.

This episode has all the elements that I've come to enjoy in School Rumble.

Parody : Go go, Love Hina parody!

Comedy : Akira in fish costume = win

Romance : Harima trying to cheer Tenma up, Tenma meeting Karasuma, Yakumo helping Harima out

Yakumo slams Hanai into the ground. Lala chokes Imadori. Are all of these characters similar to Naru, then?

Similarily, the "Tsundere" classification is given undue significance. Every girl is either warm and approachable or aloof and unapproachable. If she's unapproachable and falls for a guy, she becomes warmer and more friendly - and you have a tsundere on your hands. Tsundere covers just as broad a spectrum of girls as non-Tsundere. For that matter, you could even make a case for Yakumo as a tsundere.

Ohh now I see...

Can't they just send Tenma and Karasuma somewhere and not show them until the series end? I'm sure Harima and the other cast can pull the comedy and all the other elements just fine. Although I kinda pitied Tenma at some point in this episode, I think she should just GO somewhere

Hurray for Yakumo

Great Ep as always i mean damn Harima just cant get no love hes such a nice guy and the only one that really knows it is Yakumo she was the only one thoughtful enough to give him a present. Plus the who Yakumo pretendin to fall on top of him was great shes so cute it hurts. I really want a HarimaXYakumo ending but for some reason i dont think im going to get(tear tear)

i'm one of the few harima x tenma fans (don't hurt me!!!)... so i loved this episode because although harima's confession was ruined once again, at least tenma knew that he was just trying to cheer her up... awesome... but it killed me that harima tried to do that...it's just too sweet...

I thought it was a good moment too. It would've sucked if that act had been overlooked. Pretty funny how the nametag wasn't written properly--too bad some of the humor was lost due to my lack of knowledge on Japanese writing. Torima? Harima definitely has his sweet/romantic side, I imagine girls would love it

That's probably not the case - most Flaggers are indifferent to Onigiri. Besides, if anything, this strikes me as one of the strongest Oudou episodes in the series.

Wasn't there another birthday gift given out in Ep.12? Not every gift comes in wrapping paper.

If I understood correctly, the manga segment is about Harima trying to sabotage Karasuma's manga because he thinks that Karasuma is communicating his feelings for Tenma through the manga. It doesn't seem like he's changed very much.

Is it just me, or did that bald cap of Eri's also appear back in Ep.20 of Season 1?

Hmm, is that the cap Harima forced her to wear because she cut his beard off? I think it appeared on this episode, not on Eri, but on Tenma. (The Queen/Daimyo scene).

BTW guys the Hokuto-No-Shinken cameo was not only Kenshiro, but actually JOTARO KUJO from Jojo's Bizzare Adventure morphing to Kenshiro, when he powered up. Makes it clear why Harima is so damn powerful!! He gets his bad ass power as he gets angrier...wait a minute that's the HULK.

Question

Sorry, I just couldn't resist butting in, but what do you mean by "onigiri scenes"? I keep seeing it mentioned all over the forums and I couldn't help but wonder what everyone means by it. Can anyone tell me?

There's a poll for the various factions, you could go there and read about Onigiri and other factions. Basically, Onigiri is HarimaxYakumo.

i was really surprised at the reference to love hina in this episode with the naru and keitaro scene. they incorporated it nicely into the storyline and certainly gives a deja-vu feeling.
that was the highlight for me, even more than the yakumo-harima scene -.-
