Context - this is someone who has only seen thru episode 13. Now then...

IMO, Takeuchi is a rat. I liked him instantly when he first appeared - he appeared as loyal as an old shoe. But it seems to me that his nice guy act was just that - an act - and he's been planting small seeds of dissention between Yano and Nana almost from the beginning.

Really, I'm hard-pressed to see what Yano did that was so terrible here. Nana asked for honesty, and she got it. The hang-ups in this relationship are hers as much as his - she's a very judgemental person. Yano is guilty, mostly, of being a teenage boy - you may as well blame a fish for swimming. Clearly, he loved Nana mark I - but where's the sin in that? His love for mark II seems genuine, and his heartbreak just as genuine. If Takeuchi were a real friend, he'd have hit the "send" button on that cell phone.

You guys will have no difficulty guessing wh I'm rooting for...

First let me say getting a double fix of BGI was a dream come true. Yano has sank even lower on my list and before people chew my head of ill tell you why.

First if you care about someone and your sorry that you hurt them dont lie to be cool in front of others. The hook up party scene with Yano made me sick. Granted he really didnt want to go but the shit that came out of his mouth made him seem petty to me. Also, The fact that he was showing remorse about what happen gave me some hope that he was finally learning from his mistakes, obvioulsy i was wrong even after Take gave him hints and pushed him to do what needed to be done. He made no progress over the past 2 episodes he actually went backwards fawning all over Nana and acting like a spoiled brat. I think the only thing i admire about him right now is text messege that he DIDNT SEND. That text messege alone would have elevated Yano in my book since it said everything he need to say "Nana you were never a replacement my feelings were never a lie" that was perfect. Even if she didnt respond that was him taking responsablity for the pain he caused her and also stating how he really felt. All and all im still hoping for Yano to get his shit together he would be awsome guy if he did.

Take did somethings in episodes 13 and 14 that i liked and didnt like. Let me say the fact that he still pushes Yano to do the right thing and tells him this is your last warning was warrented. Its not fair for Take to sacrfice his feeling anymore especially if Yano isnt going to do anything. Nana isnt his girlfriend anymore Take has every right to say how he feels. Also, the fact that Take got Nana to smile with the dogs shows how much he truly cares for her. All he wanted to was to see her smile like she use to he didnt ask for anything in return he just wanted to make her happy. Its easy to see how in tune Take is with Nana's feelings even if she is dense and cant sense it. They do have a connection and it obvious that Nana has feelings for Take she wouldnt have been acting the way she did if she didnt. The look they gave each other at park in ep 14 said it all. Also Nana stated that when Take ran up to her after he told Yano basically times up her heart skipped a beat. She makes little comments like this here and there in both episodes that lead you to beleive that she is thinking about Take more and more as time passes. I am going to go out on a limb and say she does like him even if its subconcious right now. I think one of the things holding her back is the fact that she hasent picked up on his feelings yet. Take did disappoint me by not confessing after he gave Yano that talk. Even if he gets turned down its something he needs to do in order to move forward. I think Take his a nice guy with Nana's best intrest at heart i truly thinks he cares for her and at this moment my feeling havent changed i still think he is a better choice than Yano.

Nana impressed me so much expressing everything she felt about both guys. I dont think she could have said it their faces but she still got it out. Both guys get shot down but i think that Yano's was way worse then Takes. Take at least has a workable defense for her argument. He fell in love with her before she was Yanos girlfriend which is the truth. The fact that Nana wants to be left alone to think about things is a good sign. She wants to find out what really in her heart and that is very admeriable she is not running away from her problems. I predict things getting even more messy the Yano Yuri situation is still lurking im sure she will have more chances to stir up things. Plus both Yano and Take have vowed not lose to one another the rivialry is sure to make things intresting.

Last but not least i want to say 2 things
1. Its so nice that the plain averge lookin girl is getting all the love someones persoanlity can make them pretty or ugly beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. Nana's persoanlity is great which makes her even more attractive physically.

2. Did anyone else think that the conversation between Yano and Take while Take was tryig to sleep was funny as hell. I was having a flashbacks since something like that happen to be me 2 weeks ago when a friend of mine came in to my house drunk and wanted to talk about his girl problems while i was trying to sleep.

The smile you see Take give at the end of the episode was a result of what Yano said before he left.

Basically Yano says "Its ok to be pushed away, it doesnt bug me one bit, iv learned my lesson. This is still better than her leaving and not being able to do anything about it. I wont lose to you"

Take is smiling because Yano has decided to do something instead running away or being idel like he usually does. It was happy smile that one would give to there bestfriend even though the are rivals they are still friends

Hm when I think about me when I was 14-15 I remember that every cute guy that looked at me, gave me a heart beet - even if I didn't like him, it made me wonder what is wrong with me, do I have some feelings for him... I think this is a normal phase that allmost every teenager goes through. But even in this phase, there is only one that you thruly love.

Once more it was as heartwrenching as it could be, this series always gets me from the first second on... But after those two episodes and considering episode 12 I feel like my "couple - preferences" have slightly changed

I don't think he's been acting. To me it seemed like he was holding back because he was a friend of Yanos (in previous episodes more so), but it was also clear that he liked Nana-chan more than he should have as a friend. And that's why he listened to her when she talked about her relationship with Yano and why he gave advise. He is Yanos friend, yes, but he also didn't want her to get hurt beyond reason. I guess it's been a hard issue for him and episode 13 (& 14) clearly showed he's torn between friendship and his feelings for Nana, imho.

And what Yano did was not terrible in the sense of , e.g., cheating Nana physically, but even for love there are limits. And if the guy you're in love with openly admits that he still cares about another girl, that really, really hurts. Either you stay with him and always have the feeling of being second or you stop being masochistic and make the hard choice of letting him go, even if it's hard and goes against all your feelings.
Honestly, I don't think it was too smart of Nana to do what she did when they were at the beach, telling him to talk to her as if she was Nana-san (or stupid Nana as one boy put it ). But Yano was just as stupid to do it.
So yeah, both had their share in what happened. But still, I think it is unhealthy to stay with someone whom you love but who can't return your feelings. Somehow it reminds me of stupid Nana staying / clinging to her abusive boyfriend. There the unhealthieness of such action was directly (=physically) seen.

And remember, when Nana-chan broke up it wasn't clear that Yano loves her (considering what he said) and i think just now, after the break-up and by Take's actions, Yano slowly realizes his true feelings for Nana-chan. So there's hope for a change to a better.

But as i said above, my rooting favours have slightly changed. Before i was a Yano/Nana-chan supporter, but now I just can't decide: Yano or Take?

Can't wait for the developements awaiting us (and Nana-chan ) now!

P.S.: My first post after reading in this thread (and watching BGI) from the very beginning. You see, I was so overwhelmed by those two episodes, I finally thought I have something to contribute ;-)
