All the Death Scythes are very strong. I don't remember if it was ever mentioned if one in particular was the strongest, but Spirit was used personally by Shinigami for a while, so that may count for something.

Though given the context of that comment, and the fact we don't know how Shinigami chooses his personal Weapon, this might not actually mean much. @Hisago - Spirit still is Shinigami's personal Weapon, and has been throughout the series (disregarding flashbacks, obviously). He worked with Stein temporarily. Whether he'll get ousted from the top spot is yet to be seen! Of the other Weapons, we have no real comparison to go by; Masamune was very strong (would-be Kishin on Shinigami's list), and Giriko is capable of at least going one-on-one against a Death Scythe. Crona/Ragnarok are an anomaly in this case, I think. |

Question because I've been reading comments on LJ and am now confused on the matter: do we have a canon name for Maka's mother?
The comments I've read say that 'Kami' (the name that seems to have been adopted by some, at least in the English-speaking fandom) is actually being used as a title of sorts, rather than a name. Any thoughts/clarification from those of you knowledgeable about Japanese? |
