Well, if anyone has noticed Anise has the most facial expressions exhibited of the group. I think they are going to have her be the most active of the group. Plus, has anyone notice that she looks a bit pasty in those images.

They'll probably just keep that but write them off pretty much everywhere else.

Finished replaying Abyss a few days ago in preparation for the anime, and I'm kinda concerned about how it's going to be as an anime to be honest. There's just so much flying from place to place that without some changes the whole thing is going to feel very fragmented. As if the new character art wasn't enough reason for concern

That may be a problem. True you do do a lot of flying around as...

You get the "airship" quite early in the game, compared to say "Final Fantasy". And many events require the player use the flying machine, to get them there...

Also a lot of the events in the game can probably be cut without losing plot, as they are mostly unimportant...

I may have some concerns about

Nebelim. Remember that Dist joined the God Generals due to wanting to make another replica of her. It is also the reason why Dist and Jade have that amusing relationship. I am thinking too that they would just mention her name only, but it would be very cool if that fight were to be animated. Another question that I am thinking of is how many times the group is going to face the God-Generals when they appear. You fight Legretta twice, Sync three times, Largo three times, Dist three times, and Airetta three times. You add to the fights to Sync, Legretta, Largo, and Airetta if you fight their replicas.

They can cut the Devil's Arms fight with Nebilim, but she's pretty vital to Jade's backstory so they can't cut her out entirely. They'll just leave it with what you find out in Keterburg most likely - Jade tried to revive her, failed, produced bizzare monster, etc. Covers all the stuff you find out in the main story and might make a few people go out and buy a copy of the game to see if there's anything else. The Dark Wings can go quite freely, I don't remember them doing anything important at all, they can just have their little role in fleeing across the bridge. Some of the transitions can be done fine by just using the ad breaks, at least, then a lot of the errand-type stuff will likely be cut to a minimum, like say... collecting everyone for the conference on the Planet Storm, they'll probably just say they're going to do it then you'll see the conference itself, and 'go ask Astor if he'll help' will turn into them just saying Astor said he would help, or whatever. I don't really envy the writers though.

Oh well, we'll see anyway. So long as they animate my favourite scenes well and it's entertaining I'll be content. It's gonna be kinda weird getting used to the Japanese voice actors too, all 3 of my playthroughs have been the English version with the dub on.

I'm pretty sure they won't animate the Devil's Arms fight, though yeah, it would be kind of cool. The number of fights will probably be cut down a bit, especially with Dist, because he only really fights with robots anyway. The important ones kinda have to stay though - Sync will need at least 2 (the one on the way to the core and the one at Eldrant). They might remove a few of them - having Legretta back off in the Deo Pass when Tear refuses her, for example.

I am hoping that the fights with the God-Generals are well animated.

Largo and Airetta I would not mind if their fights were not long, since Airetta just cast techs and Largo would use just have that big scyth. I hope that the Sync and Legretta fights would be panned out since those two would constantly be moving and attacking. As for Dist, well, you are fighting his robots.

well nebilim's death is somewhat the "switch" that started the whole replica mess,so it's kinda vital,not only to jade,but to the whole plot,even if you learn that in jade backstory only,and fairly late in the game.
we might not see the fight,but we might see some anime-only flashback with nebilimXjadeXdist if they explain jade's past in the anime.

I have a question reguarding the game and one of the mangas of this series.

Spoiler for Manga Gaiden spoiler:

I am talking about the Ion Gaiden I happen to read this week. Do we consider some of the manga's of this series a companion guides or are they seperate universes. I ask this because in the Ion manga, it show the original one being a complete bastard in some parts. He consider Airetta more of a pet than a protector and he was in total support of Van. In the game, when fighting Sync, he stated that the original has supported Van.

The part where the manga and the game differs is when it comes to how certain events play out. But that particular detail about the original Ion being evil is considered as actual background to Ion's story.

It will depend if this series is licenced to determine which translation they will use for the English version. Remember, not only does Sunrise have it's hands on this anime, but also Bandia/Namco. There is a very high chance that this anime will end up in the licenced section of this forum within the three to four weeks of it's debut.

Lol, no problem. What I am posting now are how the writers and animators are going to do with God-General's backgrounds. I thought Dist and Regret were not that compeling, even though Dist's background gave info on why fomicry was created. The two saddest ones were Arietta and Largo.

Especially on how Arietta personality was shaped by the original Ion. Her past is probably the saddest of the God-Generals.
