Funny episode.

Haru's antics crack me up, I laughed when he hit the blondie everytime the latter touched Shizuku
Seems like we will eventually get some information about Haru's background.

Sasayan's reaction to Haru's "friends" was great too. He's a nice character

Hmm... so I guess it seems from this episode that Shizuku doesn't forgive as easily as Haru does?

Alright, it wasn't too bad. And yeah, the close-ups are good-looking as usual.

Another awesome episode. I really thought that things between Haru and Shizuku were gonna get serious, but I guess not. What was I thinking! Also loved the chicken coop. Dunno what Natsume's talking about. It's cute as hell. xD

Great anime, definitely a keeper for me. That ED reminds me of Christmas

, and melody is great too. I would watch this series just for that ED lol. However, the show itself is great and I look forward to watching this every week.

Haru is a strange character for me. A genius who acts like the stereotypical delinquent (to a certain extent) is something I have not seen in many anime before (if any). Could be a welcome change to wimps who constantly have to worry about their grades. But Shizuka is the strongest female lead I've seen since Haruhi (Ouran) and so far she's the one who has really stood out to me.

Can't wait to see how this progresses ^_^

Never had original intentions to pick this up during the season, but now I'm glad I did. It's funny, it's cute and it's very enjoyable, and it's turning out to be one of the better shows this season already.

Having said that, there's a ton of nice stuff this time around.

oh he said now meet she said's parents yea dad is shock cause other he said is seem to be hiding from someone.

Haru's unpredictability and Shizuku's personality are what kept me reading the manga when I started it.

Unfortunately, it got annoying later on. I won't specify how, of course. Hope the staff makes it more enjoyable.

He pretty much admitted that he doesn't like her the way she likes him, which is to say, romantically. The way I see it, Haru probably regards Shizuku as a "best friend forever", but to a much more intimate degree. Or perhaps an osananajimi he always wanted but never had. I though it got more and more awesome as it went on...

Anyway, about what Haru said about their "love" being different... from what I understood, at first Haru was very happy to get Shizuku as a friend and he thought he was in love, but later realised he wasn't. And he was scared that if he told her that, she would leave him and never see him again. He does love Shizuku, but it's not romantic, that's how their "loves" are different. Though, from the way he was blushing later, I don't think that's gonna last long

Actually, didn't he say he would "do" her? I think he's afraid that his love is purely physical, and doesn't understand romance. Whereas she thinks her feelings are only romantic, and not physical. But in fact they both have both kinds of feelings. That's how I see it, anyway -- although it's also reasonable to think his greatest desire is for friendship. In any case, they are charmingly and instructively unprepared to deal with these new feelings, whatever they are.

It's kind of ironic that we have two new shows in which the hero(ine) is with a character of the opposite sex who is an impenetrable and unpredictable force of nature: this show and Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo.

Seems her views on people are rather black and white, eg. the whole ordeal with Natsume in the previous ep ("If you're so stupid, you should take the remedial class"), and Haru is too trusting, though that hasn't stopped him from punching the blond guy twice when it comes to Shizuku.

If I'm calculating my dates correctly, ep 12 is one week short of 25th Dec, so maybe it's intentional?

Anyway, when they were walking home, Shizuku's wondering why Haru's looking at him (after Natsume mentions her surprise about his "scary" friends):
I get the feeling it's referencing to something in episode 1, more specifically the moment on the stairs where Haru says his feelings won't change even after making more friends? Or am I mistaking this for something more obvious?

He also said he'd rape her. Somehow, I don't think we're meant to take whatever Haru says literally.

It's not that he doesn't mean what he says. Rather, I think it's because Haru has not had many friends (maybe none, even) and is therefore unaware of the impact of his choice of words. To put it another way, he hasn't been properly "socialised" and is therefore completely clueless about the norms people are expected to follow.

At first I was really disappointed Shizuku took back her confession but it didn't take long for her to confess again so everything's all right in the end. And there's no doubt Shizuku loves him romantically.

It seems like there is some drama focused on Haru incoming. The guy he is scared of looks a lot like him, so I guess it's his older brother. This should provide good character development for Haru. He needs it.

I took it to mean that Haru realizes his love is a lot more... umm... sexual.

Also, although I doubt Haru thinks about it this way, Haru seems more "possessive" in his love, while Mitty just enjoys being around him.
