Natsuki's part was great. Figures he doesn't notice Hitomi, but immediately does for Haruka. Fujioka was an angel and Santa in the same ep. Nice shot of Atsuko, she really gets a lot of questions. Haruka is now confirmed as a goddess with no weaknesses.

I love the Natsuki part, especially that they first set it up first in a rather surreal scene of him talking with Hosaka which ended up with 'Igloo' leaving us wondering what's the point of the conversation of the snow. Then later when Hitomi and Haruka came up, it paid dividends so many times over. Priceless
We got Fanservice up-there with Hitomi and Haruka, and down-there with Atsuko and Maki. Makes me wonder why Hayami is so desperate of getting a hand-made scarf from Hosaka at Christmas. A very high probability ,yes. It's a common accidental mischief when a character is very young in Anime. |

Hayami just loves taking advantage of Hosaka's cluelessness. Remember, the implied reason why she had Hosaka start cooking way back in season 1 was so she could have someone to mooch more free lunch off. This is pretty much the same, only this time she's hoping to get a free muffler from the deal.

Hosaka being creepier than usual.
Atsuko is really miss fanservice whether confused or showing her stuff. Hayami mooching off Hosaka for a scarf. Maki and Atsuko wont say Haruka's weakness for the Banchou has instilled fear in them without trying. Natsuki getting both Haruka and Hitomi hot and bothered while he himself is for Haruka. |

lol, is that a reference to the scarf or other instances? i dont recall that happening too much though she does open her eye more that that character in Bleach (forgot the name). it seems like its the schemers that dont often open their eyes in any manga or anime. there was no Makoto in this ep which is a bit bizare but not uncommon.

He could do anything. Did you see how effortlessly he catches that girl's knitting work in the air without even looking? On the last episode, when he thought about romance movies, he immediately thought that "Love Now" was a story similar to Fist of The North Star. The Blonde dude was even dressed like Kenshiro. He's the perfect embodiment of GAR. The only problem is the Minami-ke universe can't comprehend his genius, except for Chiaki and Hayami.

The Kyoto/overseas was interesting - wordplay and metric conversion do make for some good humor - but there was a good bit to take from this episode. Like how that demon mask stood out from the show's usual animation in such a glaring way, and that Hosaka is the Demon King.

The new year's Kimono scene is like the nice strawberry on a cake. Spin spin spin like the new years top.
The Kansai to Kanto cultural reference joke is rather hard grasp, since I'm not that adept in noticing their diction when they're speaking. still I get the general idea. Kana totally got clobbered in this episode. Next week: the return of the Curry fairy and me wishing that there will be a 5th season. |
