Well, the movie certainly lived up to its subtitle - it felt like coming home after a long departure.

And finally, 12 hours of tinkering with Mediacoder later I managed to make a working video:
http://youtu.be/TZ1V33GqeLM

Sadly the timings weren't working properly, and I couldn't make them work properly (maybe because it cuts only at key frames?), so video is longer than necessary...

Was a good movie. It honestly, it felt more like an extended episode more than anything, but at least it ended more depth to Ohana's family. And Ohana... means family, so why not! Plus nobody was in drag and the movie stayed away from the typical annoying shit... usually.

It was a tough start, with Jiromaru (die in a fire plz) wasting space with his bad perv books, and I'm just not going to bother taking a screenshot of him. Ohana does eventually send it to where it belongs though. Unfortunately for her...

So Yuina's chillin over, and Ohana's job is to make her useful. Doubly tough since Yuina has inhaled twice the amount of laughing gas she normally does.

You did, Ohana. Maybe Minko could put up with Yuina's shit?

Never mind...

Meanwhile, Tomoe can't put up with Einshi and Takako's antics anymore and ragequits. Well, this is what happens when the camera ignores you.

And Ohana's dad might be the first suave guy in the series. No wonder why he avoided showing up in the tv series. He kept his dignity intact, well, I suppose at first hitting on a girl that was a bit too young might have been stretching out, but sadly, good things sometimes don't last and apparently he kicked the bucket. >.>

There was also a really random Nako subplot that was ok, but Nako's little deal always tied into the base concepts really neatly in her own part. And what's with this random spilled water? Don't half ass ass shots, PA.

Wtf police exist in this series?

I really liked the lighting for this movie. It was expertly used throughout the movie, but especially the nighttime scenes looked great.

Now, now, Minko isn't strangling you. Let's not test the luck. It's a rare moment when Minichi thinks of what she could done better. Maybe she'd be less of a scrub if she did that more.

........ Run while you still can. It's a good thing the dudes kept their heads low this movie.

OMG beanman with hair... and Sui was slapping people well back then too.

And Ohana sparkled. The End.

8 Sparkles out of 10

Now that's something to consider.

Although be wary of Okada pulling a Tomino.
