Looking for cutesy animes, involving cats or cat peoples.

I prefer things that aren't too serious... Can have some sort of plot line, but it's not neccessary. haha

Both seasons of Aria (Aria the Animation/Aria the Natural) have a lot of cats and cat related episodes. The mystical aspects of the show mostly involve cats... they're sort of portrayed as mysterious and unknowable.

There are also a couple cat episodes in Kamichu!, one in which Yurie transforms herself into a cat.

There's also Azumanga Daiou... lots of cats, and the ongoing gag with Sasaki.

Windy Tales is a show from Production I.G. about cats who can manipulate the wind and fly.

Oh, yeah, there are some people in the show who can do that, too, but the cats do it better!

Cute show with a rather unusual art style. Quite lovely when you get used to it. For one thing, the Japanese girls look, remarkably, Japanese!

Juuni Sensehi Bakuretsu Eto Ranger
Full Moon wo Sagashite -sort of fits the cat thing, really good story/romance but starts off just cutesy and fillery but amazing towards the end.
Gakuen Alice - sorta has a cat girl and it's erally cute
akazukin cha cha - cat people in couple eps also cute and has other animals.

Azumanga Daioh has the whole Cat vs. Sakaki thing going on. There are many nekko-centric episodes in this anime.

My heart goes out to Sakaki in every one of these episodes. She's such a lovely young woman, and she doesn't deserve to be so mistreated.

Pani Poni Dash is a school comedy with the running gag of a cat who claims to be God and is often found hiding inside vending machines, warming the cans with his body heat.

Trust me, it's *much* funnier than it sounds.

There was this very cute kodomo anime that use to be on Jetix back around 2001/2002. It was about a group of cute cats and their misadventures around the city. I forgot the name and have not been able to find any information about it online unfortunately.

Maybe My Otome. One of the main characters has a cat, and in the later episodes cats play an important role.
