Strange that is the exact opposite of how I'd describe Natsume. I don't mean wooden (although I disagree with that too but that is more taste) but "lacking humanity".

I think Natsume is one of the most humanistic anime out there and while it does have a strong supernatural elements, it also definitely does deal with humanity.

Of course with my icon, obviously I am biased.

After seeing all the Natsume series I don't think I could claim not being biased either . I always thought the series was a great emotional ride every episode. Felt the character development for Natsume was really quite deep and took a slow route that things often require when people are really changing and dealing with their past.

But hey, everyone sees things differently. There are some series people will rave about that I'll never really get into .

Manga seems very popular in Japan(pixiv is loaded with fanart) and will feature more human-Herald duos.

Unfortunately, there are several top shows like Natsume Yuujinchou that I have found myself unable to appreciate. Maybe I just wasn't held enough during the slow development to become interested in the character.

That aside, here is a characters/seiyuus page for Gingitsune, with pics of 13 characters and their seiyuus, and a bit of info about each seiyuu. Miki Shinichirou isn't the only top guy involved: we also will hear Inoue Kazuhiko (Dusty Attenborough in Legend of the Galactic Heroes), both Seki Tomokazu and Sugita Tomokazu, and others. As if tossing in Koshimizu Ami and Akasaki Chinatsu wasn't enough.

Well I like this show even if it isn't anything too special. It's very wholesome and heartwarming a nice change of pace from suffering and despair you get from many shows these days.

This episode was okay, there were some cute moments between Gintaro & Makoto but I have to admit I was most excited about the preview. It looks like we will finally be meeting the dark haired boy from the opening.

Gintaro is such a tsundere and I love his interactions with Makoto.
I can't wait for the next episode, we get to meet the dark haired boy ^_____^
He's probably going to be a love interest, too!

It just gets worse and worse.

Actually, I enjoyed this episode too. A bit low key as usual but I don't particularly mind. I felt Makoto being sad at the end there was a little forced but I have to admit, it's nice to see such a tsundere fox spirit.

Next episode is when the shipping begins...

Kinjirou left the shrine, changed his name, met Natsume and became Nyanko-sensei it all makes sense now.

begins? Yuri-fanboys are probably already shipping two of the girls together (or all three of them) after this episode there will most likely be some Makoto/Gintarou shippers. Next week will simply add another ship.

A new adventure for Saeki.
Well, her adventures are not what you'd expect, that's for sure.
It was nice seeing that there are more heralds than just Gin.
This was a really nice epsiode.
I really enjoyed watching it and the new info was nice too ^^

Ok, I am really enjoying this series. Perhaps even the series I have looked forward the most to during the past three eps of the general anime Autumn schedule.... The season is shaping up to be a pretty good one for me.

For me the feeling of sadness didn't feel out of place - I was touched by the ep, and love the series' quiet, almost unassuming character. Just my cup of tea.

That was the best episode so far. Loved it. The ending was so sweet. Gintaro is the best male tsundere I've since in a while.

I found it rather amusing that Kinjirou was voiced by Kazuhiko Inoue. I bet they did that on purpose. It can't be a coincidence.

I don't believe Inoue and Miki can be in the studio at the same time, because the load-bearing walls would collapse from the awesome.

Don't need males in the show to make a ship. Ships work better without them, in fact.

Who know finding a turtle would make such a sweet moment between Makoto and Gintaro

So many Kill la Kill seiyuus in this show...

It has currently sold over 1 million copies in Japan, though no fan translations of it exist.
