Did you go a bit farther? I think the dying talk came after that. But Battler's thoughts imply that the hair color of the rest of the cast is black or brown. Except you like to think that they are all european

Generally in anime and stuff the hair color you see isn't supposed to be the character's real hair color, unless it's fantasy. It's just done to add diversity to the look. No one is claiming anyone is dying their hair, just that the hair colors we see aren't what they really are. It seems pretty obvious from what he says about Beatrice's picture that the Ushiromiya family has typical Japanese hair, even if they are shown with a variety of bright unnatural colors.

probably because it's more easy to include so many characters in that way XD I'm really amazed how they always manage to include all characters
