Valkyria deathmatch anyone?

For a moment there, I thought Sega had released new DLC for VC1. I guess that attests to how well they've adapted the PSP graphics since VC2.

Has there been any news as to when VC3 will be released in English?

Whoah, hold it... they're making an anime of VC3? Now that is indeed surprising... given the storyline of what'll be going on in VC3, I think that this might make for quite the interesting series indeed.

Kinda surprised they skipped over VC2, since it had more... "anime" qualities about it, but then again, maybe I'm glad they're choosing an anime of VC3 instead.

It's an OVA actually, IIRC slated for three episodes. Afaik, it's more a companion piece to the game than a standalone anime, though I'll have to see.

But yeah, it's standalone, I don't think they'll animates something that happened in the game. The VC1 anime was pretty much the same but it had some differences, some good some not so good (Ramal).
But why retell something I'm guessing is told really well (in the third game)? The PSP is popular in Japan and I'm sure everyone has one. A PS3 not so much, so they stretched the Valkyria franchise to an anime to bring in the anime watchers, and those who didn't have a PS3, to then buy the second. That's the way I see it.

The Edelweiss, Alicia, Largo and Selvaria appearing in the OP made me giddy XD

The one thing that truly got me in that OP though.... why is the Empire in possession of KV tanks now?!
