Seikoku no Ryuukishi Vol. 4 Summary:
The student council is holding a celebration for Ash's recovery after he leaves the hospital in the school canteen.
"Congratulation for your recovery, Ash, cheer!"
Rebecca says those words with smiling and cheerful face.
Max tells Ash that Ash has a lot of student council-related works waiting for him.
Raymond says to Ash.
"Hey Ash! Isn't it like heaven? You have Eco, Princess Silvia, Rebecca-sama, the genius girl Lucca and even Jessica. Any guys would be happy just by seeing them! I'm so envious you damn harem king!"
Lucca says to Ash.
"How about you go visiting Eckblood Village together with me this weekend, Ash?"
Jessica says in response.
"If Ash-sama will stay overnight outside, Jessica will serve you with great care that you won't even want to sleep the whole night."
Eco is only obsessing with eating chicken.
"Tunggggggggggg!"
A loud noise occurs along with the vibration that shakes the canteen's mirror.
When everyone turns to look, they notice an arch-dragonar with green armor standing there.
The green-armored arch-dragonar informs everyone that he has a letter from the king to Silvia.
When Silvia returns to her room to read the letter, she discovers that her dad calls her back to the palace Fountain for the upcoming party that will be held there.
Corset then teases Silvia about Ash.
The next day
Silvia creates a new commotion in the school again.
Because she wants to invite Ash to visit her father as she returns to the palace quietly, she can't think of anywhere else to talk about her invitation to Ash besides on the back of her dragon, Lancelot, while flying in the sky.
But she ends up arguing against Ash which causes her to slip off a loud voice.
"Ash, please go visit my father together with me!"
Which of course, the entire student body hears about that, causing tim to shout --
"Hey! The princess is proposing to Ash!"
Silvia returns home to find her father.
When Ash meets the king, he thinks.
"The picture I have in my mind of a king can't be found in this person."
Upon seeing Silvia's face, the king immediately jumps to hug Silvia and says.
"Oh Silvie, my dear daughter!
Which causes Silvia to punch him in the face, leaving him with nosebleed.
Ash is thinking that these father and daughter really love each other violently.
To add insult to the injury, Silvia's father isn't even a breeder. The one who is an arch-dragonar is actually Silvia's mother, Elizabeth, an arch-dragonar whom no one knows. She died of disease when Silvia was 2 years old. Silvia's father loves her dearly that he ordered his people to create a huge stature of Silvia's mother in front of the palace.
Both Ash and Eco then takes a walk in the palace. Eco takes her chance as a guest to order all favors of crape to eat, she's really a glutton.
Then they meet another relative of Corset, a glasses maid name Frida.
Silvia's father is a very nice person.
Even when they are invited to the meal (I think it's dinner), Eco is still the same glutton as ever. Ash can only depress as his sweat drops.
Silvia's father says he doesn't mind. He says he's glad just by seeing Eco devours the prepared food happily.
The king tells Ash that he already knows about Ash's bravery, including his feats in Ansarivan Town and Willingam Grave.
The king then turns to tease Silvia until Silvia blushes and lowers her head to hid her embarrassment.
Then the king simply says
"From today onwards, you're now a dragonar!"
Ash can only accept in his surprise.
"Ehh!? I just becomes a dragonar!?"
"Why are you so surprised? I invites you here because of this, you know."
The king tells Ash before adding
"Ah! My cute Silvia will soon leave my care to be in your care!"
After finishing the meal, the king then invites Ash and Eco to attend the mask party tomorrow night.
Meanwhile, Millgaus and Arnia is going to infiltrate the palace through the sewer because the city is filled with patrolling dragonars.
Arnia wonders why Millgaus knows the paths in the city very well, even knowing about the secret basement for the royalty.
After they travels through the secret underground path, they arrive at the airship warehouse. All the airships coming from other nations to participate in the party is kept there including:
Airship Beowulf from Sepharos Empire
Airship Solas from Chevron Kingdom
Airship Espelansa from Espada Church
Airship Silvanus from Lautremont (Veronica owns it)
Millgaus enters Beowulf to discuss the plan inside the airship with Claus Viktorhausen.
He also brings a new prosthetic arm to use, and demonstrating a new machine, Yggdrasil, created using the same technology as the sword Tillwing.
Millgaus then orders Arnia to kidnap Eco here to use Eco as the central of Yggdrasil's operation.
That night, Silvia dreams about the event in town Ansarivan and realizes that she actually knows the necromancer dragon.
That dragon is Modred, her brother Julius' orphan dragon. (I think they always use the word "orphan" to call a dragon here)
She then visits the Dragon Graveyard together with Corset after she wakes up. They meet with Veronica, Glenn and Avdosia there and informed that Modred's bone have been stolen. Veronica claims that it might have been stolen since a year ago.
Veronica praises Silvia about the battle in Willingam that she does very well. She never expects her sister who still has green butt to put such a fight like that which Silvia shyly responses in embarrassment.
Silvia then tells them about the masked man she met in Willingam Grave that Millgaus and Julius might be the same person.
Glenn hears that and angrily shouts in response that it's impossible.
"If Julius were still alive, he would never cooperate with the empire no matter what!"
Veronica then tells them not to talk about this to anyone else.
After they departs, Silvia mentions that she want to take a rest before tonight's dance party.
Corset then teasingly tells Silvia-
"Please choose the most beautiful dress to wear for the night! Because tonight is the mask dance party, it's a good opportunity to dance with Ash-sama!"
Silvia then becomes embarrassed. Corset notices that and teases Silvia even more.
"Ah! My princess has grown up even more."
When Ash awakes, he peaks at the Dragonar Seal that Silvia's father gave him last night.
Ash then sees something else on the bed, laying beneath the blanket (Shit! I actually needed to look for this simple word in dictionary because I have trouble separating it from "sheet"). Ash believes it's probably Eco sneaking in his bed to sleep with him again.
But then he notices something unusual. That thing is… Prim's underwear. Ash is astonished how come it's here.
When he opens the blanket revealing Prim sleeping naked he becomes surprised and then Eco who sleeps next to him starts shouting aloud why Prim is sleeping in the same bed as them. (Ash, You lucky bastard!)
Prim then replies that she has become Ash's personal maid, which makes Eco angry because Dragoon Veris (Narvi) teaches her (lie) that personal maid will do all perverted stuffs even sleeping.
Silvia comes to the room and asks what happened since the commotion could be heard outside.
Then Silvia sees the naked Prim and asks Ash in surprise if they slept together last night.
Ash tries to refuse but the answer he gets from Silvia is…
"I'll stomp you now according to my family's rule!"
I don't need to tell you about what will happen to Ash afterwards since you should know it already.
Afterwards Prim takes Eco away to select the dress she'll wear in the dance party. Ash already finished selecting the suit and is waiting in the room.
Silvia then comes to ask Ash if he's free since she has something to discuss with him.
Silvia tells Ash that Millgaus might be her own big brother Julius, but she doesn't understand his actions.
Ash tells Silvia that he can't even remember his own father's face so he can't understand the bond between father and child.
During their discussion, there is a thunder. Silvia is scared and hugs Ash, making both of them lose balance and fall on the bed.
The thunder is still on-going, making Silvia hugs Ash even tighter. Ash then notices that Silvia doesn't wear bra, making both of them feel weird. But then Corset comes to inform that she has finished arranging the dress for Silvia and sees them hugging in the bed. Silvia then thanks Corset and suddenly runs out of the room.
Back to Prim and Eco. Prim is talking to Eco about how Ash is a human and Eco is a dragon. One day, Ash will have a lover, marry and have children.
When Eco hears that, she suddenly runs out while crying. Eco knows Prim doesn't have bad intention because it's the truth but she still can't accept it. (Nice jab Prim!)
Eco runs until she reaches the old castle. She then sees 5 suspicious figures. She remembers that one of them is Arnia, the waitress in Laten, the school canteen.
But then Prim runs here shouting after Eco, so she gets attacked immediately. Eco tries to intervene and tells Prim to run away.
Arnia orders her underlings to capture Eco while she'll deal with Prim herself. Prim who is still stunned gets knocked out by Arnia in one hit.
The underlings can't defeat Eco so Arnia has to deal with Eco too. Eco asks Arnia if she's the same person who she thinks Arnia is. Arnia replies admits. In the end, Eco lose to Arnia and gets captured.
It's already 18:15 but Eco still hasn't come back. Ash is very worried. He then decides to use the power of his star-shaped breeder tattoo to search for Eco's location like in vol. 1. (you know, when Eco got captured by the mad scientist with hot body who tried to dissect her)
However, this time the butterflies only appear for a short moment before they disappear. He tries it again 2 times but the results remain the same.
Ash then decides to search for her himself. He finds Corset on his way and tells Corset that Eco and Prim still haven't returned after 4 hours. Something might happen to them.
Corset tells Ash she'll go for them herself, but in exchange, Ash must go to take care of Silvia in her place.
Back to Arnia, she decides to take a bath after the mission. While bathing she watches her breasts in the mirror and wonders why Rebecca's is so enormous.
Even Silvia's is much larger than hers. But at least she's certain that hers is larger than Eco's. She then wonders why she should bethinking about winning Eco in this area.
In the dance party, Ash sees Silvia and praises her she's really lovely. Silvia tells Ash that Corset tells her that Eco and Prim have disappeared.
Then a young man who seems to come from the empire comes to ask Silvia for a dance by asking Silvia's name directly.
Silvia is surprises since this is a mask dance party, everyone wears mask. If it's not someone who knows her well then he wouldn't be able to know who she really is.
Ash sees the man and immediately shouts.
"Millgaus! Why are you here!?"
Arnia has finished her bath and is going to meet professor Hoffman. Hoffman explains to her that Yggdrasil is a machine to use on dragon according to the archive by making any dragon that uses it become a maestro.
Because of this reason, all dragons in the past could become maestros.
Arnia still doesn't understand why they have to capture Eco to make her become a maestro. Hoffman responses that he doesn't understand either, just following his order.
Back to Ash. Ash can't do anything to Millgaus because he'll cause panic. Ash then separates from them.
Silvia tells Ash not to call her princess since everyone will know instead calls her "Silvia".
After that 3 guys surround Silvia trying to ask her for a dance. But Ash pulls Silvia's hand from the group making the guys dissatisfied. Right after they come out the dance music begins to the moment when they have to dance. Ash then dances with Silvia.
After both Ash and Silvia come to rest outside after the dance. Millgaus and Claus approach them. Millgaus asks Silvia to dance with him because he has something to discuss with her. Ash then follows and keeps watch on them nearby. At the moment, Corset comes back to inform him that she found Prim unconscious, something might have happened to Eco.
Ash then goes to ask Prim what happened to them. Prim then cries and tells them that it was all her fault that she talks to Eco about Ash being human and Eco being dragon, thus making Eco ran away. Which she then ran to the old castle and got captured.
Ash asks Prim how the culprits look like.
Prim tells him it's a girl with tan body like the Tantalos tribe.
Ash immediately realizes that Millgaus is behind all this. He discusses his opinion and comes to a conclusion that the only place they can hide Eco is inside airship Beowulf.
Hoffman succeeds in starting Yggdrasil machine. However, an unforeseen incident occurs. Eco has absorbed all of the Millennium power making the machine crashed. After Eco walks outside, she starts to glow and the light covers her body until she disappears.
Back to Silvia, who rides on Lancelot's back after Eco. She notices an unusual event inside Beowulf. An enormous egg appears. Ash feels pain from his star-shaped tattoo like when Eco was born.
He tells everyone he is certain that Eco is inside the egg and asks Lancelot to take him to the floating egg in the sky.
However, Lancelot refuses to go near the egg no matter how much Silvia begs him.
Suddenly, the egg explodes along with loud noise making the whole area shaking from the sound vibration.
What emerge there is, a giant dragon, comparable to either god or demon.
Ash then says.
"I know! That is Eco!"
People in the party go panic at the sight of the giant dragon. Claus frames the king that the giant dragon is Lautremont's weapon to start the war. The king refuses saying that he has no idea what it could possibly be.
Veronica confronts Millgaus and asks him if he's really Julius, her older brother. Glenn tells her she's wrong. He tells her that he knows Julius very well and the person in front of them can't possibly be Julius.
Millgaus answers them.
"You still don't get it, do you? I just make use of Julius' body and all of his memory. I am the successor from the bloodline of the Hell Dragon King Neharennia, Modred!"
Glenn immediately engages in the fight against Modred but he gets blown away easily. Modred tells them he'll return Julius to them because he'll now possess the body of the successor of the bloodline of the Holy Dragon Avalon now.
Then a dark fog emerges from Millgaus' body enveloping the whole dance hall. Right when Veronica is in trouble, a hand appears to save her. It's Julius who has regain his conscious. Julius then tells them that Modred wants to possess Eco's body.
Veronica then realizes that the giant dragon is actually Eco.
Back to Ash and Silvia. They try to lure Eco from the city. Suddenly Eco cries when something is enveloping her body and morphs her body.
Her white feather changes into black. (I thought dragon only has scale like reptile. Well, he just discovered recently that most dinosaurs actually have feather)
Her 3 horns reduces to one. (I suppose only the middle one remains)
Her angelic wings morphs into devilish ones. (I think it changes from white bird wings to black bat wings)
And there appear 9 eyes on her face… (I'm speechless…)
Suddenly Ash and Silvia hear someone calling them from behind. When they turn back, they see Glenn riding a dragon along with Veronica. However, when Ash sees the third person, he immediately asks.
"Millgaus! Why are you coming here with them!?"
Millgaus then explains to them that he is now Julius and informs them that Modred wants to take over Eco's body.
At the same time inside the dragon workshop (I'll try to find a better name for this room where Narvi resides later), Narvi is fighting against Modred. Modred tells Narvi-
"Why are you opposing me!? You have no right to oppose me "navigator"! You're just the navigator of Dragoon Veris (even I don't understand what it is). Shouldn't you just support the side who wins?"
Narvi replies in response.
"But I hate you. I like the young knight of Avalon, Ash Blake much more than you!"
Back to Ash's group. Julius wants to use Silvanus to fly up where the dragons refuse to go. Julius tells everyone to leave the ship besides him and Ash. Veronica is having a little quarrel with Julius.
Julius says.
"To prevent more deaths, Veronica, you have to give order from below!"
Veronica rejects.
"Don't order me around like that! I'm not a child anymore!"
"I'm glad my sister is such a strong woman. But you should listen to your big brother's order. We don't have much time now. Please listen to what I'm about to say Veronica!"
"Don't joke around! Silvanus is my airship! I won't let you take it away easily, Julius!"
"Is that so!? I am your big brother. I have always been taking care of you since you were a child. You are the princess who is perfect without any fault. However, don't you think I don't know about the things inside your room!"
"What!? What about the things inside my room!?"
"The fact that you really adore Silvie! Inside your room there are drawing of Silvie, Silvie's special cloths, diary about Silvie's growth, photo album of Silvie's and even a human size Silvie's doll!"
"I understand now! Please! Don't continue talking about that anymore! Everyone! Aboard the airship, this is an order!"
When they fly the airship up. They discover that Eco doesn't move anywhere, the the black fog isn't completely enveloped her whole body yet.
Julius tells Ash that it's because Eco is still resisting Modred, and Narvi is helping preventing Modred from taking over Eco's body.
Ash is surprised that Julius knows about Narvi.
Julius then tells Ash that Narvi is the representative of Dragoon Veris. When Modred was possessing his body he also knows about what Modred knows. So while they still have a chance, they need to send Ash to Eco's body to exorcise Modred.
But when the airship reaches the destination, they get a blast shot from Eco, making the airship heavily damages and can't function anymore.
Julius tells Ash to jump to Eco and not worry about him. When Ash jumps down to Eco, the airship is shot by the blast again and falls down and explodes on the ground.
Eco regains her consciousness and finds herself in a bird cage. She immediately shouts.
"Where am I and what is with this place!? Why a proud dragon race like me has to be inside this cage?"
Narvi then appears in front of Eco. Eco asks her why Narvi is here. Narvi then explains to her that Modred still hasn't arrived here yet. Eco is wondering who Modred is. Narvi tells Eco to reach her hand to her and she then transfer the information she has to Eco directly so that Eco will understand what is going on.
From the scene outside they see that Ash is jumping down here to save Eco. That makes Eco happy. Eco then asks Narvi what she can do to help Ash.
Narvi tells Eco.
"This is the only opportunity we have left before the seal I placed on Modred will lose its effect. Eco, you must create your own arch for Ash now. You just need to create the armor, and put the sword that is the treasure of Avalon Dynasty into use!"
Ash who succeeds in putting himself onto Eco notices that Eco's transformation has started again and she's now able to move her body but Ash still can't reach the destination.
Suddenly, Ash hears a loud noise calling him.
"Ash, faster! Move this way! Come up here!"
When Ash turns around, he sees Lucca. Ash realizes that Lucca can come here because she uses "Dragon Dance" (I have no idea WTF it is) enable her to come near. Ash asks about Rebecca and Max. Lucca tells him that only she can come inside.
After that, Lucca takes Ash riding on Gawain dodging blasts to above Eco's head, Ash then jumps down.
When Ash tries to take control of Eco, Modred moves Eco's wings creating a gulf of wind blowing Lucca and Gawain away.
When Ash looks at the direction Modred is moving Eco to, which is Fountain Palace, Ash thinks.
"Oh crap! It's over if she reaches there!"
But then Ash hears a familiar voice. the voice of Eco who is chanting mantra to create arch for him.
"Eco! Please accept my feeling!"
Ash shout before light is enveloping him.
"So this is the arch that Eco makes for me."
But when he looks at his body, there is no armor, only enormous magical power enveloping him.
"Wazzup with dat!?"
"Sorry! It seems like this child still isn't matured enough to create a complete arch for you!"
Narvi's voice suddenly heard.
At the moment, Modred has reached near Fountain Palace.
Ash then shouts.
"Leave it to me! Come to me the strongest peerless divine sword #1 under heaven, Excalibur!!!"
Ash runs through using the sword cutting apart the blast from Modred (using Eco's mouth) and charging the power prepare to deal the final blow. Then he hears a voice.
"Wait! Will you actually destroy this body? Don't you care what will happen to the successor of Avalon?"
"Huhh!? Why are you so concerned about your life now of all time!? Now, Modred, please accept my sword! Even if you're god or demon, I can ride you as long as you're a dragon! Take this!"
Then Ash gives Modred his all.
"Haha! That Modred immediately ran for his life!"
Narvi says laughingly.
Modred's soul has escaped to the east direction, where Chevron Kingdom lies.
As for Eco, after Modred left her body, she returns to her own form. Although her left horn is a little chipped because Ash cut it.
Arnia is being hunted by the foreign soldiers, she happens to meet Avdosia on the way. When Avdosia sees Arnia's scarf, she realizes that Arnia is her missing little sister who she has been searching for.
As for Ash who is recovering in the hospital. he can only cries in pain. His star-shaped tattoo has returned from covering his entire body to his left arm. The pain he feels now is from his muscle. Eco is sleeping besides him. When she wakes up, Ash apologizes to her saying it's his own fault that happened to Eco, since he's her knight.
Silvia comes to visit only to see Ash and Eco hugging and gets angry. Ash tries to change the mood by asking Silvia how Prince Julius is doing.
Silvia tells them that she can't find Julius but she believe he's safe. She also believes that Modred must take possession of someone in Chevron Kingdom for sure.
Ash then tells Eco that he will always protect her no matter what happens.
