Erm... It sounds like you missed a pair of seasons. There's Da Capo, Da Capo SS (Second Season), Da Capo II, Da Capo II SS, and now Da Capo III. They're all adapted from VNs, and each VN before III has gotten two anime seasons (even if the first game got two double cours, and the second game got two singles).

So referring to Da Capo III as the 'third season' is disingenuous at best.

This is technically in line with Aoi's character setting. She's technically a genki girl and sickly girl at the same time(anemia, was it?) thus looking to Kiyotaka as a big brother after he helped her during one of her prior faint spells.

I haven't dropped this series yet because I love Da capo but i haven't watched it yet again since episode 02...... I tried to compile more episode then watched it in one go. But THIS SCENE!!!! I don't know if I should be happy or not

This really doesn't feel Da Capo at all. Though I would probably know if I start watching it again.

Well you should try watching Rikka's episode (episode 6), Sara's (episode 5), and Himeno (episode 4). Those were pretty fun in my opinion. Haven't watch this episode yet so expecting it tonight but the fanservice... is pretty darn high. As far as I'm concerned, I love Sara's fanservice (all those subtleties but not) and Rikka's (damn those costumes <3).

I didn't notice anything particularly awful in ep7. This isn't a show to watch for the animation, and my impression is that this series is a bit better animated than the previous ones. I admit I saw a funny nose or two, but nothing terrible. EDIT: And of course the money-saving stills serenade_beta mentions, but those are things that never bother me. Studio saves money so it can make more anime. Seems like a good deal.

Faults in ep7 aside, I have felt that this series does the cherry-blossoms better than previous series. I really have the feeling that we are always surrounded by pink blossoms -- literal and figurative, I guess.

I think tsunade666 is right that we are drifting into somewhat unusual territory for Da Capo, but it is still all on the basis of a magical place, a guy who can't help being nice to girls, and girls who appreciate it.

Oh, and I did enjoy ep7.

Due to Da Capo I having it's main-point, characters and is in it's own time, I like to say that it is it's own Season. Same goes for Da Capo II and Da Capo III. Of course, I have watched: Da Capo I, Da Capo I SS, Da Capo II, Da Capo II SS, Da Capo If and now Da Capo III and I know that they are all different seasons.

Yeah, I noticed that. It does have a different feel compared to the other series.

I saw someone mention at some point that Episode 7 reminds them of some of the work from Shaft (with the cuts to off-subject stills, some odd angles and poses, etc.), and it's probably interesting to note that the Storyboard Artist has indeed done a lot of storyboard work on Shaft shows, including particularly on Arakawa Under the Bridge, but also Hidamari Sketch, Madoka Magica, Natsu no Arashi, and Denki Onna. The production itself was apparently sourced to Tatsunoko Productions, so that doesn't quite explain some of the off-model (and that obvious flub...)... but it'll probably be cleaned up on the Blu-Ray.
