So why could Soi Fon recover her arm, while Yamamoto couldn't? Couldn't he have asked Mayuri or even Orihime to recover his lost arm back then?

^ Practical uses, perhaps. Soi Fon (or Sui Feng) needs both of her arms as the leader of Soul Society's Assassination Squad, while Yamamoto chose to leave himself one arm less probably as a reminder of why he lost the arm or as a badass gramps' battle scars.

Besides, Yamamoto has a caster-type Zanpakutou. He doesn't really need to swing his sword around to inflict damage to his enemies.

Why did he sacrifice an arm and all of the battle time he had at his disposal for a kido instead of releasing his sword though?

I wonder if we'll be seeing Chad in the next arc. Even though the last one was supposed to be his highlight, he barely appeared at all.

my friend adam has finally watch the episode for the final getsuga tenshou. got any recommendations if he should watch the filler or not (answer quick, he got trough 10 years of bleach in less than 2 weeks, he'll probs be on the next episode by the time im done typing)

The consistent quality of the animation alone makes it worth a watch. So yes. He should watch the filler arc. He might even enjoy it more than the canon arc that follows.

I also say yes. I liked the zanpakutou rebellion filler arc and the latest mod soul filler arc more than this current fullbring one.

I'm pretty excited how the closing arc will turn out
however, knowing KT... I'd probably be disappointed so I won't expect much

Because it wouldn't be a "sacrifice" if he got his arm back. He gave it up to save everyone. To heal it would make his sacrifice a token one--a bullshit one at that

Ichigo had to sacrifice his powers in exchange for using mugetsu and FINAL Getsuga tenshou. Guess what...sacrifice or not, he got his pretty powers back, and that's an entirely different existence, much more than just a part of him.
