Played it a bit, quite a fun tank. Though playing with it, I was matched up with teams where half of the team are T1E6, guess everyone wants to give it a try.
I think I'll keep it for now, playing it every now and then for a change of pace.

I think its pretty quick compared to some of the other Tier 2's but beside it not being particularly good I'll probably keep it anyway simply because its a premium.
On another note I gave in and bought a little gold so I could convert the exp from my elite tanks (13.000 odd worth) so I went a little mad and researched a bunch of stuff for my US TD's as well as hitting up the German tank tree and getting my hands on a bunch of light tanks like the PzIII and the luchs (which is awesome fun). Here are the fruits of my labor and even though they where both loses (due to my team all dying or letting the enemy cap) I still gave the other teams a real headache. I also just unlocked the leopard but I've yet to try it out.

I think I'll sell the T1E6 and work toward the PzIV. I don't know what's up with that tank, but I couldn't count how many time I got one-shot by it. Gotta try it out to see what's inside.

You mean the Panzer IV, or the T1E6? Because if it's the IV, then it might depend on the gun being used, as the panzer IV, like the Sherman, can equip a 105 mm howitzer (which I seem to be missing on my own tank), which can do quite a number on a tank with its raw damage. It's awfully short-ranged though, so if you get killed by a Pz IV with a snub-nosed gun while brawling, it's likely caused by this.

T1E6: I'm going to farm out XP for the next couple of days while the game is still giving out the 5x win bonus, then I'm going to sell it for the free garage space (which will soon have a T-34-85 in it). I'm happier with my existing Pz35t and A13 Cruiser. (It doesn't help that the gun doesn't go with my playstyle.)
PzIVs with the derp gun: Yeah, that'll do in smaller targets pretty well. My preference remains to use the 75mm L/48 and stay back; the PzIV just isn't sturdy enough to brawl reliably IMO. Last edited by Gravitas Free Zone; 2012-12-24 at 21:20. |

Whenever there's talk about taking out KVs, it's usually the 105 mm howitzer they're using. I use the 75 mm gun myself, and I have to say, unless I use APCR rounds, I can barely even scratch the paint off a KV, unless it's a deliberate outflank attack on the rear, and even then a good deal of my shots still have a chance of just bouncing off.

Before its nerf, the PzIV was one of the most commonly cited counters to the KV-1 due to its ability to mount the Panther 75. They've removed it since then of course; the PzIV Schmalturm Tier 6 premium is the same configuration people used for their KV-1 busting PzIVs back in the day. |

My Churchill III got another one-shot by the PzIV from the front, and that makes it twice for this month. I really want to know if they actually place the Church's engine or ammo rack at the front or somewhere near that, honestly.
Kinda surprise that I could take out KV-1 in my Churchill I after I got the same gun as the Churchill III. The KV-1's neck is really weak.

Wow, so this was a sad game .. I was driving my Black Prince in a Tier 9 match on "Sand River" --
I rolled down a hill and got stuck near our base after getting pounded repeatedly by a T-54. I basically sat there until I found a long way out .. just in time to watch my base get overrun .. but also in time to ping the enemy team capping our base and win the game (no defender though since they were only at 42%) ..

I'm on my way to the KV-1 and I got the T-28. I thought it was going to be easy, I already got all the engines (thanks to the BT-7) and the 57mm ZiS Gun (I use it on my T-34, which is pretty decent). My first game consisted of T4 or lower tanks only so I thought I was going to 'own' the opposition with the ZiS Gun.
Instead I got killed by a 38nA. So I checked out the armour: Turret: 30/20/20 hull: 20/20/20. Why did the Russians create a medium tank with paper thin armour?! I can punch through that. This is going to be long and painful road before I have my KV-1. Anyway I wish you guys a Merry Christmas.
