AIKa ZERO (OAV)

Sequel to AIKa R-16: Virgin Mission. It's going to be aired on August 25 on AT-X.

Here's a lowdown from ANN:

Quote:
The Japanese anime distributor Bandai Visual is listing a new OVA series called AIKa ZERO for an August 25 launch. Noriyasu Yamauchi is designing the characters in the first 30-minute AIKa ZERO episode as he did for the first Agent Aika video project and the AIKa R-16: Virgin Mission prequel.

Bandai Visual describes the project as "the return of the legendary low-angle, sexy action [anime] in an all-new OVA series!!" In this story set in a future world (mostly submerged underwater), the 19-year-old Aika Sumeragi is going to college while training as an agent by assisting in Gozo Aida's salvaging business.

In addition to designing, Yamauchi is directing and overseeing the animation production. Kenichi Kanemaki is also returning to script the story based on Studio Fantasia and Bandai Visual's original concepts. AIKa R-16 voice actress Ami Koshimizu is reprising her Aika role and singing the project's theme song. The initial Blu-ray Disc release will include a special "H pinup" illustration drawn by Yamauchi, a special booklet, a "picture drama" video extra, and audio commentary. Yamauchi is also illustrating the cover.
Cast as of 5/12/2009

Ami Koshimizu as Aika Sumeragi

Akio Ohtsuka as Gōzō Aida

Asami Shimoda as Kana Shiraishi

Mamiko Noto as Karen Minamino

Mikako Takahashi as Rin Shirakiku

Misato Fukuen as Eri Shinkai

Yuko Goto as Miyu Shiratori

LOL, Aika is back! More weird pevertedness and butt up position. Still keeping the animation with a balance with the old and the new.

not much of a spoiler, if at all, but just to be safe.
Spoiler for ep1:

The fighter in the first episode...

Not sure. Maybe if someone can help here.

But you're right, I remember the JASDF wanting the F-22 and agreeing to settle with a F-35 during negotiations.

It is the F-35 Lightning II. Note the overall shape of the plane and the single engine.

One thing not very supportive of this, though, is the shape of the wings as in the anime. The wingtips of a F-35 is much broader than that.

About Mitsubishi ATD-X, what makes me say that the plane flying beside Aika's Vampire isn't one is also because of the engine. IIRC ATD-X has two engines with thrust-vectoring control in its design specs, which tells it apart from the F-35 in the anime.

I think this thread should be moved to the Fansubbed section. It's been airing for months now.

Oh, ep. 2 is out!

I find it funny how the pantsu shots almost defies the uniform design and gravity >_> xD

1 thing for certain the amount of face value yuri and fance service + the wrestling moves keeps me from watching it over and over again

AIKa: ZERO ended with 3 episodes. As for whether or not there is going to be more AIKa in the future, I don't know.

finished watching this highly educational anime. I think the ending credits of ep3 are more interesting then ep1-3 combined. Aside from the constant pantsu parade, i actually wanted to know abit more about the alien girl and her silver haired yuri sidekick. Damnit ^^
