No, we've been SHOWN what caused Hyobu's scar again and again and again (he's rather bitter about it remember?): a shot point-blank to the head by the army officer he trusted. The end result seems to be the same though: a dramatic increase in psychic power.

Oh and I got confused with the settings... is this supposed to be flashback or something? IIRC, Yuuri was supposed to be already forgotten back in past few chapters, right?

That's what I figured as well.

This current plot is probably going to cover all the event that happened before everyone managed to forget about her. At this point, I have to say that Hypno is a pretty damn broken esper power.

This flashback confuses me.

I don't mean to say that the events are confusing, because what's happening to Yuuri is easy to follow, but that this flashback doesn't make sense in Minamoto and BABEL's perspective. Didn't they forget everything about Yuuri, and if so, how can they have this flashback?

We're simply given a revelation of why the mindwipe happened.

I never read the original manga and came here from the unlimited anime i heard that hinomiya and yugiri rnt in the main series does that mean they will die in the end???
