The most awesome thing is that the little miko who seems to be specialized on calling winds gives me huge Izumi Segawa vibes <3
I dont remember which one it was exactly who played vs Yuuki (the one with the uhm rune dagger but Yuuki seems to be in a really bad position considering the dagger appeared right behind her. Well Yuuki was never a good player and if she is against a ...miko we can only pray that she doesnt get completly annihilated D:

Anyway miko schools, do they really exist? Im all for mahjong playing mikos <33 but I cant stop thinking to find it funny.

Not the miko. The mikos have this crazy golden light emanates from the tiles / light from the heavens beam, presumably as they call a tsumo and send you to the afterlife.

Isn't that Teru with her 9 gates or something about to own Yuki?

2012!? OMG that's too long~
But, considering the timeframe it took for the other anime's to release the season 2....it may be possible.
I wish they'd air the season 2 early >_< I might forget all their names if it's going to them a year or so for the next season.(It wasn't easy to memorize all the characters here~)
Reality really is cruel...Oh no'es. I'm getting depressed just thinking about it.
I'm going to miss this one. Big time.
Since The anime passed the manga material right after the final match between Saki & Koromo, I figured that the Manga author would need time for the manga to create enough material for a season 2 anime adaptation.

So I Figure 2 years minimum but if we also included hiatus due to possible injury or any other reasons then 3 years sounded about right. lol.

You know whats even better than a small cheerful miko that looks like Segawa Izumi? A small cheerful miko that looks like Segawa Izumi who becomes best friends with Yuuki because both of them love tacos LOL

Now /THAT/ would be someone I would love over anyone else except my top3

Speaking of Koromo, I got a haitei today.

Such a random lucky play. It makes me feel even more awestruck at Koromo's ability (or ridiculous luck).

Technically, Koromo's main ability is manipulation of tiles. She just does haitei to completely screw with her opponent's minds. Which works wonders.

Apparently, someone called Gonzo and asked about the second season.

Can anyone translate what's in here?

Summarize:

1. Picture Magic: Even though we're just a related company everyone would really love to make more.

2. Gonzo: In the current climate it's difficult, but same as Picture magic we'd love to be able to contine.

3. Square Enix: As only the copyright holders, you'd really have to ask the animation studio(s), but the "new characters introduced in the ending" technique has been used before in Kemeko DX... As the original work (manga) accumulated (sekirei wait for 1 year), and the DVD sales are good (Nogizaka got a season 2 because of that) then perhaps your wishes will come true.

I won't deny this, but it's certainly not true for ALL of the characters that appeared though. Silhouettes of Jindai and the one girl from cosplay high school (you know red and white clothing, looks like Santa's helper) appeared in the manga long before the anime aired.

Not just suuanko...

Suuanko (four concealed pons)
Tsuu-ii-Sou (all honors)
Shou-Suu-Shii (three pons and one pair of winds)
Dai-San-Gen (three pons of dragons)
= Four Yakuman

Then you see if you add on yaku for the east wind... But anyway, at that point, it's overkill.

@anh No idea, but that's a crazy hand regardless.

I know, I just wanted to point out the name irony. >W< It's not just crazy, it's seriously crazy. The only way I could pull that off is probably through Tsumikomi. =A=

Depends on the rules. In Saki you find out that there are no "double yakumans" in the tournament rules.

But there are ways of playing where you could get 2 or more yakuman... Not that it's ever even remotely likely. And most of those would be a combination of blessing of XXXX and another yakuman hand, which frankly is not very good for drama (since it's winning on the first go-around).

Did she? I can't recall. Any links?

And there's apparently a nickname for her: "Little Red Riding Hood".

Obligatory:

LRRH: My, what big hands you get...
Saki: All the better to defeat you with, my dear!

I believe that means three pons of winds and a pair of the remaining wind. So it doesn't count. However, if the hand was in pair wait, It'll be eligible for another yakuman (suuanko tanki).

She wasn't mentioned by name, but Hisa refers to her as a a person who can sense the flow of the game, much like Jun from Ryuumonbuchi. Oh and here's the page; it's from volume 3. Sorry it's a raw, but I don't read scanlations. =A= Jindai's silhouette also appears on the left page.
Monsters to the left, and to the right, flow sensing elf and gender trap.
