Well, first of all, DOES RYU APPROVE?

Because, if he does...Then I most certainly can't look at Sakutarou the same way again. :/

And also, if that side of the shota lion is indeed true, did the novels ever hint that he felt that way? (I have read small parts of them, that where hardly important so I don't know anything XD)
The anime preview dialogues aren't meant to be taken seriously; they are considered to be strictly non-canon.

Is Battler's name supposed to be a reference to this character?

Well it IS related to Agatha Christie. I have no doubt that this could possibly be true. But there is a small chance that it's not.

Hey, I wasn't quite sure where to ask this, but if I were to write a paper comparing Higurashi and Umineko on thematic levels would anybody be interested in reading it?

Why not?
...
Wouldn't it be epic that when you compered it, you'll get a hint to understanding the game?

Actually, I think there might be. My whole idea behind this paper is that Umineko is a kind of antithesis to Higurashi. Maybe the final culprit is an "opposite" of Takano.

Well it's been stated that the 'win criteria' of Umineko isn't the same as Higurashi. Higurashi had a happy ending for everyone, but Umineko doesn't have to be.

I know that this is irrelevant to the solving of Umineko but in Episode 3 when Beatrice/Ronove are debating with Battler about the closed room, Beatrice almost slipped up and said something. Does anyone have any possible suggestions as to what Beatrice was going to say before Ronove stopped her?

Beatrice was going to say in red that no one died because of an accident

However this red truth by itself wasn't the real problem, Virgilia does say that:

Basically that red itself wasn't the problem, but strategically it was a bad choice to continue that battle:

You are probably going to fully understand this once you have read EP4.

Oh, I know figuring out what Beatrice was going to say in red wasn't the real problem. I just wanted to know what it was, and you answered that, so thanks.

I wouldn't expect a season 2 to be announced until at least next year after the games finish this year.

Then again a lot of people say it might not even come at all, so don't hold your breath.

If there is a season 2 Studio DEEN won't be making it. Too many bad sales. There might be a Chiru manga, but I'm not placing my bets on a Chiru anime.

Sadly, Umineko did not do as well as Higurashi. The anime just didn't live up to the game. However, fortunately, the games are going strong, and I'm content with them.

there still exists the posibility of another more competent studio picking umineko, which sadly, is now more probable than deen picking it up again.

The same question was asked a page ago, and it's not like huge spoilers are allowed here anyway.

The answer is still no. With all the bad DVD sales DEEN had with the first season we are not expecting any news saying there will be a season 2. DEEN said themselves that if the DVD's didn't sell they wouldn't continue it. The most you can expect is a Chiru manga, and (if we're lucky) maybe another more competent studio picking Umineko up. I don't think that's likely either though.
