For "Uchigane" vs "Blue Tears", here's Riz and Gin (Excerpt from their duel in Vandam):

An entire minute passed, and still no one moved. Gin's Tear had semiautomatic sniper rifle shouldered and scoped; Riz's Uchigane had her katana drawn and wings partially unfurled.

"W-What's going on?" Wondered one of the spectating students aloud.

"Simply put, they can't move," Karon answered somewhat absent-mindedly, as she watched the staring match play out.

"But they are still so far apart!" whispered another voice. "Uchigane needs to close the range, and Tears needs to shoot."

"Exactly that," Gou whispered, eyes moving for track the small adjustments each duelist was making. "Riz needs to close the distance, but her unit is a high-velocity system and will force her to commit to a certain direction. Oowashi Uchigane may be able to close the distance rapidly, but Gin is the best shot in our state. If Riz isn't careful, Gin can counter with several bullets at the right place."

"Then, shouldn't Tio-hime be at the advantage?"

"Not here. In this stance, Riz can parry Gin's shots easily, then go for a counterattack while Gin is reloading."

"...you make them sound super-human."

"Probably," Karon replied. "But they are ISpers, after all..."

"Everything will be settled with the first move."

This is related to non-sex Chromosome (Remember that human has 22 pair of chromosome plus additional pair that determined their gender, XX and XY). If someone has a way to get around this, Ichika can have all Chifuyu genes and yet is a guy.

@Eras: That's the only time she's smart though, when watching IS fights, and when in an IS. Its the same reason why she stops being a dojiko inside a suit. IS compensation for physical impairments.

After all, I wanted to subvert the Falling Into The Cockpit trope by making Karon obviously competent at her trade.

the biggest drawback in a realistic fight between uchigane and blue tears is flight capability. Uchigane can't fly at the same altitudes as the blue tears and blue tears has practically all range weaponry(if she could only get over her panic of getting in melee range :eyeroll: ). Taking into account ability of Uchigane to deflect laser beams with the sword(which requires godlike reflexes to dodge, let alone parry from 1 blaster though she's applying this to 5 blasters). Then there's Cecilia's other abilities to consider, unlesss you don't include thsoe D:

I circumvent around this that Ichika has super reflex and ByakuShiki has Hi-grade sensor as default (normally additional parts), sacrificing basic Fire Control System in process.

And the fact that ByakuShiki has higher output than BT.

Byakushiki has no problem with the range because it can fly at the same altitudes as BT and has superior speed and agility :|

I guess the the sniper rifle was at its last shot in the magazine? If it's a bolt-action rifle, I can understand the crippling reloading time but semi-autos usually use mags.

As for Tsurugi and Cecilia's case, the former manages to damage the latter's sniper rifle to the extent that it can no longer fire. (Though the katana suffers slight damage as well, in a form of a barely noticeable crack)

For the wing bits part:

The four wing bits simultaneously open fire upon the Uchigane, landing hits on the ground as Tsurugi frequently shifts her movement direction.

In the midst of the attack, she begins to notice that Cecilia’s stationary.

‘She’s not moving… Maybe I could…’

She turns around and dashes towards her, only to be hindered by one of her wing bits.

‘Guess not. I’ll have to think of another way to attack her—’

While boosting away from the wing bits’ fire, she pauses her thoughts and looks at the wing bits and then to her katana.

‘…With her own weapons, that’s it!’

She resumes evading shots from the wing bits, trying to get into position.

Upon reaching a spot, she holds her stance and watches the bits approach her. One of the bits enters attack range and moves to fire while Tsurugi keeps a watchful eye on it.

She holds up her katana at an angle just at the slight notice of the bit’s muzzle glowing as it loads up a shot.

The wing bit then opens fire while Tsurugi simply stands her ground and holds up her katana.

The shot deflects off the katana’s angled, broad side and heads straight for the Blue Tears, catching Cecilia off-guard.

“EH…?”

Without hesitation, Cecilia puts up a barrier just in time to block the oncoming shot. The lapse of focus causes her wing bits to lose responsiveness and become momentarily inactive.

‘Got her! Now for the drone bits—eh?’

Tsurugi realizes that the drones aren’t moving and looks over to Cecilia, noticing that she’s trying to quickly regain focus.

‘The remote bits stop when she’s distracted…?’

Not long after, Cecilia controls her wing bits to resume their attacks on Tsurugi, who boosts away upon seeing the bits becoming active again.

‘I see… She needs to focus her mind when using the remote weapons! In that case…’

Nope, he still are, unless Ichika is the result of mix-and-match, that makes him Chifuyu's son by default, not clone.

Which is why:

If it were normal pilots, the Tears wins by spam alone.

But its Riz, who has Oowashi flight pack equipped. She who could strike down a dozen IS at once with blindingly fast sword strikes.

And she's against Gin. The only non-graduate pilot in NCCS who can Double Shot, which is a move that puts 2 shots at the exact same spot from a semiauto. This causes shields to deform to the 1st shot, then the 2nd shot hits the weakened spot, causing it to break and trigger ABS. In other words, a 1 shot kill.

I guess though, Riz still has a chance as the MP version of Tears doesn't have funnels, but has the Hi-MAT system in its place. If Riz was against Cecily, the Oowashi pack would provide the means to close at high speed. Even without Oowashi, and with Tenmoku, Riz can still dodge around looking for an opening.

the fancy terms are lost to me but all I can think of is gundam to fill in the blanks. Then I get images of akatsuki versus freedom... I honestly say that things don't look pretty for Akatsuki any way I slice it.
