Papillon - Hana to Chou

The newest manga series by Miwa Ueda (yes, it's Peach Girl's author) that is currently published by Del Rey Manga (USA).

What do you guys think about the series so far?

Me, I think the plot is very similar to Peach Girl; the main characters highly resemble those in PG, too. Though the story has taken several surprise turns, so far I think that if the author doesn't develop the plot to be significantly different from PG, it will be boring soon....

Now poll's time! :P It's not about "whom should Ageha choose?" but "Which one do YOU prefer?"

>>> I think Hayato (the counselor) is a better guy.

Though Ryuusei is quite a gentleman, he's just as excessively naive as Toji in PG.

About Hayato Ichijiku (the counselor): so far he's been a very interesting character who cracks me up so many times! LOL ...
Judging from his emotions and reactions when he's with Ageha, I bet he has a past just as complicated as Kiley's (Kairi's) in PG! He definitely does!
Otherwise, how come a guy like him goes for 24 years without a girlfriend? Just wait and see! :P

Oy, the heroines in Ueda's manga are always the touchy, hypersentitive crybaby type who - with their tears - elicit sympathy from the males. For example: whenever Momo or Ageha cries, sure there's a boy there to hug her. I'm tired of this pattern. Can the females just STOP crying over every little thing?!

Second, it bothers me, the fact that Ageha had to change her appearance in order to be loved.
I'd like it much better if the author let boys fall in love with her regardless of her looks.

I can totally relate to the touchy, hypersentitive crybaby type completely in her works
