Chart News, pt. 1: Big new singles from 2 big name seiyuus - the legendary Nana Mizuki and popular newbie Aki Toyosaki, and that's it on the chart (Week 16):

#5 "SHUN PU" by Aki Toyosaki (no anime tie-up), 12,453 copies sold.
Had she released this last week with the same sales result she would have been No. 1. K-ON's Yui would have been proud by this chart placing.

#3 "POP MASTER" by Nana Mizuki (no anime tie-up), 51,883 copies sold.
Used as a cheering song by Nippon Television, it is not from the usual Nana-san song so the result is a bit mixed. While it's fun, catchy and definitely
"pop"ish, it feels forced and feels like a filler although a Nana-san filler beats most "moe" songs.

#2 "SCARLET KNIGHT" by Nana Mizuki (Dog Days OP), 55,366 copies sold.
Could have easily made it to the top hadn't megapopular B'z decided to postpone the release of their lastest single. But it's No. 1 in my book - Powerful vocals, epic music, a classic Nana-san single on par with her Nanoha singles.
