That giant robot doing a Naruto run is so dumb I can't not give this a chance. The song is quite catchy too. The CG is off in the humans but so does every non-movie CG anime ever. The mechs are cool tho.

As for the 3D, I think it actually looks better than average even compared to a couple of recent series (unexpected audience darling Kemono Friends and the more controversial ongoing Berserk TV adaptation come to mind). The fact there's no 2D also means it's not going to stick out. The robotic characters look fine in 3D and they'll likely get a good chunk of screen time. Then again, as someone who grew up watching ancient productions like ReBoot and Beast Wars, my tolerance for 3D is quite high. Compared to that, this isn't remotely a problem for me. |
