The artist's notion of Kouko, of course. But then again, you will have surely noticed by now that both Komatsu Eeji's and Umechazuke's ideas of what Kouko looks like have changed over time. In the manga, she looked positively haughty at first. For that matter, the version of her on the first LN volume cover is very different from every other version I've seen of her.

Now that you mentioned it, I did compare the novel art to...this. And it looks somehow similar. What only differs is the color of her hair. I'm not really a fan of that color... It feels wrong. xp

Doubt it. They already have Nagi no Asu Kara booked in for that season and that's going to be an anime original. PA works never does more than one anime a season. I'm with JC or A-1 as well with other possibilities being Brains Base or Deen (hopefully not the latter

Hmm ... didn't notice this thread - and kinda surprised to see this getting an adaptation tbh.

But after reading through the thread I find myself going from curious to intrigued to definitely trying this one out. Which is good - looks like I have 3 definites on my Fall 2013 list atm. ^^

aaaaaaaaaaand my expectations have suddenly plummeted.

EDIT: Also checked with this Shimo Fumihiko person is. Did that series composition for Air, Kanon, Clannad (and After Story) and Kokoro Connect when it comes to dramas. F*** that. I'm out. This is probably one of the few times where I'm going to say "I bloody wished Mari Okada was involved" since her teen drama adaptations are usually at least decent.

Chiaki Kon worked on the Nodame Cantabile sequels. I had a feeling that this might happen since she recently wrote scripts for Henneko.
