Altho like its said before some series have had quite a few OVAs but I don't see that being the case here. If they have anything close to same number eps of a normal seires then they just might as well go ahead and make all 12 then. I'm guessing its something like 6 or less OVAs maybe they will venture into a 7th.

I am just going ot have faith that an OVA will be awesome, it is Black Lagoon after all animated by Madhouse-and I do like all their anime.
I hope that the writer adds more arcs ro the BL manga, cause I would not mind more BL after the OVA. Absolutely no anime like BL !!!!! |

They would have gone through a 3rd season TV Series if there was enough material....but the new arc only focuses on Roberta and it's quite boring....maybe animated would be more interesting.

Not necessarily true.
These days, a cut-down/edited/incomplete/censored version of OVA episode is often aired a few weeks before the DVD gets released. This is because fundamentally, all anime on JP tv are just commercials for the DVDs anyway. So it would be quite normal for the Black Lagoon OVA to get broad-casted on TV, though not necessarily fully. Examples: Hellsing OVAs, Diebuster OVAs, Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari series.

i reckon it will be 2 years at the least maybe 4. if they are going to cover the current story arc in 1 or 2 OVA's with the manga not even finished yet we still have a long while to wait for a proper 3rd season

Hopefully, we'll have more of the guys in Vancouver for the English version. But first, I am really expecting big for this new series. |

With the amount of content remaining in the manga, a third season is guaranteed to have a filler majority. Unless Hiroe is hiding a few more chapters under his pillow I'd say the best bet is an OVA of the new Roberta arc which hasn't even finished yet. Truthfully though, Madhouse has some decent leeway if they decided to make half a season of filler. It has the potential to be very entertaining, though I'm always doubtful of non-manga material.
